  1. Bit ambivalent about beaches (never know who's lurking!) but found a nice high spot up on Mill Rd (??) I always look for hard standing as having an auto van means it's a matter of seconds before I get bogged down...
  2. Yeah, drove up to Hunny, found a lovely place to park (after seeing some great stuff en route) and then it just karked it!
  3. Indeed yes, the Amiens storm is no longer a single celled organism...
  4. The one I can see to the north must be the shower nr Holt on radar.
  5. Surprising how quickly the cloud tops have appeared above the Acas field in the last half hour or so.
  6. Still loads of Acas round here, and some developing towers to the north tucked in behind the storm now exiting Norfolk
  7. Sun's out again, had nice afternoon trying to stay in front of and parallel to the storms, foiled by tractors and annoying artic who wanted to park on my favoured viewing spot (hrummph!). Got some CGs on vid though, bit cross as seem to have lost all my camera filters with and ideal opportunity to try for some daytime lightning
  8. Latest (and probably last) is still rumbling away - originally high based, constant thunder but all IC, saw maybe 2 CGs after 30 mins or so. Compared to the first couple which were chucking out some lovely CGs a couple of hours earlier.
  9. Decent couple of hours in Norfolk, nice little train of storms going!
  10. Watch that thing turn into some uber mega storm over the N Sea and head into the Netherlands...
  11. That's probably it for the east - I might just make Lowestoft to see it disappearing into the N Sea
  12. Can see it from here, just for once it would be nice if things tracked over Norfolk!
  13. Smiley Carol saying occasional showers in the south/intense storms in the Midlands northwards. As per usual
  14. Now that's the kind of thing I want to see over Holland at the end of August
  15. Fab day at Hampton Court flower show yesterday, perfect weather, sunny and not too hot with a gentle breeze, back home to more of the same and a ton of gardening to catch up on after four days away Could do with a drop of rain again but preferably after I get the grass cut and a couple of fields topped....
  16. Definitely now exited the NSC this year, not spectacularly apart from one huuuuge crash earlier!
  17. Great Caesar's bathmat, that was a huge flash and crash, sure I heard a bit of a click too, Scared the whatsits out of me!
