  1. As soon as I pressed the button on my last post the sun removes his coat and we have blue sky.
  2. Well at the moment the sun has got his had coat and boots on in these parts
  3. The cloud has rolled in and the sun has gone with no chance of reaching the tempratures of yesterday.
  4. have a good week John and I don't want any snow reports due to your height whilst on the roof I have a feeling that's the zoo we visited on our first wedding anniversary, see I know how to have a good time
  5. I think Steve is talking about the Thames which hopefully now is within it's river banks.
  6. Yes it's been a really lovely day with the sun out and a temperature up at 16.5c, funny how there can be variations in different places. Well the grass has had a very high cut and the garden dug around, two cars washed and I'm ................... tired. EE, your comments are 100% on, I wonder if spring will spring a surprise and suddenly go into a cold spell after this nice mild period remember years gone by when the nights get lighter and it was cold outside.
  7. A great shame considering all the support that snowlady received over the past couple of months. My eyes have been opened to some of the things that have been going on over the past months when I thought we were here to talk about the weather, such a shame. My temperature here is on the way up and showing 13.5c, plus the sun has appeared.
  8. No problem, I am bookmarking that ready for the winter of 2014/2015 when the easterly winds will return and the snow is six foot deep. Ok I write for the Daily Snow Express Temperature now down to 3.1c
  9. I see that makes sense when explained as it read like a statement, looks rather interesting http://wattsupwiththat.com/
  10. Sorry I am very confused, so lets get back to the weather. It has been a dry day here although there were times when the clouds came over and it looked like some rain, nice clear start with a ground frost which must only be the fifth of the winter. The temperature is now falling away and stands at 4.2c at the moment. It looks like some milder weather towards the weekend although the threat of frost seems to still be there.
  11. I was listening to BBC local radio last night and there was mention of someone driving down the A1 and seeing some snow. It's -0.3c here this morning which is probably one of the coldest starts all winter, sorry spring.
  12. Hopefully we can look forward to some warmer weather next weekend however at this present time it seems a long way away as I watch the rain start to fall and the wind blows. The temperature has gone down -0.7c in the past hour which is not helping.
  13. Tamara a great post earlier which is the MOD threads loss and along with JP's daily analysis is a great asset to this thread
  14. From their latest update, I don't think the met office see any record breaking temperatures at the moment, slightly above for late March (average 9c to 11c) UK Outlook for Sunday 16 Mar 2014 to Sunday 30 Mar 2014: Current indications suggest fairly typical weather conditions for the time of year will continue during the latter half of March. This will mean spells of wet and windy weather, most likely in the north and west, but still some decent sunny spells in between. The best of the drier and brighter conditions are likely to be in the south and east of the UK. Temperatures are most likely to be around or slightly above average for late March, with a risk of overnight frosts and icy patches in the quieter and clearer interludes. 15. sorry who said that Well it may just have stopped raining since 7am this morning and notice the temperature is on the way down slowly.
  16. Thought I was seeing snow on the Dunstable Downs web cam but think it's the bad resolution http://www.ustream.tv/channel/dunstable-hang-gliding-and-paragliding-club
  17. Yes can't see nay snow in the latest Met office forecast Headline: Cold overnight. Cloudy with outbreaks of rain on Friday. This Evening and Tonight: Showers will gradually die out this evening allowing clear spells to develop with temperatures falling close to freezing. Cloud amounts then increasing again later overnight with outbreaks of rain likely to reach southwestern parts by dawn. Minimum Temperature 1 °C. Friday: Cloudy and feeling cold with outbreaks of rain affecting most parts during the day and a chilly northeasterly wind developing for the afternoon. Rain lingering into the evening. Maximum Temperature 7 °C. Updated: 1401 on Thu 27 Feb 2014
  18. Well I have just been locked out of the house due to my eldest daughter borrowing my keys this morning, didn't feel too bad out there although sometimes that's how it feels before the snow. I have a temp of 5.9c here with very little wind. I await the up date for our very own Mr Fish of the SE regional thread JP Thanks AJ for cleaning the the thread if you have any spare time there is a house and a couple of cars requiring the same, plus the Snow Depth shop which may have a customer or too, note sure if they will have a delivery tonight as we are very busy overseas in the USA at the moment
