  1. I would hope that if a good number of people report this it gets removed from the forum!!!. Temperature here 6.7c and it must be raining as my new weather device, (the cat) has come in with wet feet.
  2. I don't think you could write this script as on the last day of winter we have the possibility of seeing our first flake of snow this winter.
  3. Funny you should say that as we have had a request for extra time so a member can bring on his sub, I know it's been wet recently but not that wet. Showers have been very heavy here today with hail and some gusty winds, temperature now down to 6.5c.
  4. Still mild outside (9.8c) although the wind today seem to have taken the edge off as there was very little sunshine due to a number of showers which have been passing through. At least the intensity of rain has dropped to provided some welcome relief to the areas which were flooded a week or so ago. It crossed my mind today that there are many people now coping with the problems after the water has left their houses and how quick the news channels dropped the story when the water started to go down and problems in other parts of the world took the headlines.
  5. February 2014, maybe next year:)
  6. Now do they no something we don't or should I make them an offer ready for next year https://forum.netweather.tv/gallery/album/1501-snow/

  9. Same here, fingers crossed And to think I played with lego when I was young, not that old really
  10. AS, I know the feeling as last week we had two sleepovers in one weekend (sounds like a song) one for the ten year old and one for the 16 year old which then stretched into two days. If they last much longer I may have to charge B&B rates . I have been to town and the sun is out although it feels a little nippy and as I speak the cloud cover is moving in from the west, at least it's not raining.
  11. I wonder how many tonnes of rock salt are sitting around council depots at the moment, funny how one year we nearly run out and then this year it was sand bags in short supply.
  12. Sorry I will have to refer you to the gardening thread as per rule 12.6.1.3 revised global warming page 100.99f
  13. John, reading the met office extended forecast seems to go along with this thinking or more rain for the north and west and less in the south east along with some frost. This will hopefully help to reduce the flooding risk as we go through the next few weeks. One thing I have noticed since last week when the models were showing the amount of rain for this area it was a lot less than suggested which has helped the the EA to move the water down the River Ouse without too much problems. I would think that anyone on the levels are happy of less rain now they have had to switch off the new pumps for 48 hours as they were destroying the river bank due to the force of water being pumped out. I must admit that when I first saw all the pipes lined up and there was a suggestion that they would be able to force against the tidal flow I was surprised that they were not angled down stream.
  14. My goodness John, I should get another quote from a different builder as goodness knows where he will stick his scaffolding
  15. Just found a rather large part of a conifer tree in the garden so rang the police who have put me through to Special Branch. They will be around later as they are presently at a sink hole in Hemel Hempstead looking into that first, I thank you Still getting some rather large gust here and spits and spots of rain.
  16. I have to say that this storm system beats all others this winter her in Bedford this winter, some of the gust last night were really powerful around midnight. It's still blowing although the worst gusts now are coming through with some very fast moving showers
  17. That will be an ole fiver to you sir and a 40% commission Just had a thought I bought a box of Rennie from the supermarket today, do you think that reason the winds keeping down around here
