  1. Yep. Express/Mail/Sun. Worst displays of journalism in the country.
  2. You need to chill out. This was being shown in the forecast about 5/7 days ahead so was perfectly reasonable to speculate on it, yes it didn't come to fruition, but it wasn't a cold bias.
  3. How did all you guys do down in the SW, what totals did you manage? Happy for you all, you probably deserve snow more than anywhere else in the country, and 2 events in 2 weeks!
  4. Does anyone hve yesterday's radar loop please?
  5. Another fantastic event here, much like the beginning of this month. Blowing and drifting snow, I would say a solid 5cm across the board with drifts upwards of 20cm as of half an hour ago.
  6. It has been turning quite misty over the past couple of hours here.
  7. Hmm, quite surprised by the amber, it actually misses me to the North but I won't be too upset, unless the streamer sets up literally a mile to my North.
  8. WalsallWeather123, got the lottery numbers?
  9. I mean, I was only enquiring... it helps if there is clarity for those who are still learning, can help avoid any confusion.
  10. Not sure if I am reading this wrong, but the whole country certainly isn't under -10 air? The south coast, as well as SW UK and wales? Happy to be corrected.
  11. I am impartial as to whether I get anything or not this weekend, I will be happy if I do, and not bothered if I don't. I am looking forward to some juicy summer storms though now.
  12. Yep, Fulham definitely the strongest competition. We don't have much weather to discuss at the moment!
  13. Haha yep, we messed it up big time, the automatic place should be yours now
  14. We're commmmiiiinnnnnnngggggggggg @markw2680
  15. Yeah, it certainly looks like Spring is being put on hold, expect the forum activity to start ramping up again come the end of the week.
  16. Quite amusing how quiet this thread is given the output, i guess everyone must have gotten their fill earlier in the month. Regarding the 6z ICON, the high certainly looks 'tidier'. GFS to follow.
  17. Drove through Huntington, just to the NW of Cannock last night, still quite a few drifts about, some of them actually very impressive still, a couple were probably about a foot high, unbelievable given the temps the last week. Anyone drove through that area recently and noticed?
  18. Whilst I am impartial as to whether i get any, it looks like if the PPN is that intense, if it passes across somewhere maybe 150-200m+ it could likely cause some disruption. On another note, that shower north of Birmingham is making me excited for the summer.
  19. Interesting forecast for tomorrow morning, kind of crept up on us. I think this thread would be buzzing with activity if we hadn't had the cold spell of last week.
  20. I'm just about ready for spring now, I may go for one last walk this afternoon but I have gotten my snow fix now. Yesterday evening made up for a poor week and whilst the snow was never really heavy, it has led to good accumulations here. It's tricky to get exact figures because of the drifting but I would say 10-15cm widely, 1ft drifts very regularly and 5ft drifts are about.
  21. Some drifts I caught on my walk last night. some of these were chest high (I'm 6ft).
  22. Been out in the snow for the last hour making the most of it, some of the drifts here are incredible, chest high, and I am 6ft, I shall upload them tomorrow. general depth, maybe 10cm? Regular drifts of 1ft, some drifts 4ft+. Whilst no huge total accumulations, the cold spell has made up for the disappointing beginning today and yesterday evening.
  23. The snow has picked up in the last hour or so, filled in the gaps.
