    Hi guys, I’ve not been able to keep up to date on this event. we had a great event last month in centre of leeds. What can we expect tomorrow depth wise?

    Been a great day here in the centre of leeds, started setting as I was waking up for work around 8am, not stopped since. I will be going out for a walk in it when the sun sets.

    Had snow that represents sheets of a1 paper here... heavy stuff and sticking well. I seem to be in the right place to be catching most of the heavy echoes.

    Hi All, hope everyone has been keeping well. im not so active anymore as live up in leeds now but frequent this place still. I had been following this event and had a good feeling about it despite some of the negativity from some of the usual culprits Good a good 5cm here in gentleshaw at decent height asl... off out to enjoy now!

    First time posting in a long time, haven’t seen a proper storm now for probably 4 years, odd rumble of thunder a couple times (live in Leeds now) saw the news and was hoping maybe I could break that duck today, but I’m not too hopeful lol. The past few years of weather have essentially led to me becoming disinterested. anyhow, best of luck all!

    Hoping we get a storm later because of course I was away Tuesday night so saw absolutely zilch... I think I’m about 3/4 years without a storm now... I remember a couple of rumbles maybe 2 years ago.

    Think I might have to make a trip back home to the Midlands for Thursday, don't really want to miss what could turn out to be my best shot at significant snow this winter. I haven't been keeping up with the forecasts, but assuming the Midland's cops it, what totals are we looking at? Thanks

    Shame it’s coming in January though, as opposed to ‘proper’ winter in April when we could really tap into them cold uppers! Haha I joke, you’re right the wash can set up great for the east/west midlands, same as the Thames for the SE.

    What is everyone's opinion on tomorrow? I am meant to be driving back to the Midland's tomorrow but if it is looking likely that central Leeds will see some snow i'd like to stay. Just a bit concerned getting caught in the freezing rain on my way back down the m1 if I do decide to go home.

    April is often more transient I find, I think it is just a case of never really getting lucky synoptic wise in December. Look at last year, December was a great month for many, and of course 2010. December can definitely deliver better than April, it is just a case of getting lucky, but when we do, it is certainly cold enough for substantial snow, more so than the transient stuff in April.

    Always have to laugh when I see you post your weekly reminder of this, I can assure you early-mid jan has a much greater chance of seeing snow than April. Take a look at the mean CET records and compare January’s historical data to April’s, it will help you recognise the difference; it is very rare April is even within 2c warmer than January, often 3-4c warmer.

    Hello all, I am looking for some information regarding the sunniest spots (whilst still warm... 25c) in Europe during mid September. I have been looking towards Spain’s east coast as flights are generally quite cheap but is this reliably sunny/warm at this time of year? Is southern (Malaga) better than northern (Girona/Barca)? Are there any other places I should be looking at? Many thanks

    Very warm again here today considering what is now thick cloud cover, probably wouldn’t like to be outside if it was sunny however. Haven’t had much of a chance to come on here as of late but this spell of weather has been absolutely incredible. Just a shame about the lack of storms.
