  1. people this is the london and se regional. The northern most part of this region is greater london. there is no amber warning for this region.
  2. um...no! http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/75704-three-counties-east-anglia-regional-discussion-january-22nd-2013-1400hrs/page__st__420#entry2569010

  5. hi floaty I've no idea. They did the same for me last friday. Those things are just automated so prob some kind of software bug perhaps? All i know is its showing heavy snow for colchester at 3am.....gonna be a late night!
  6. Jonh Hammond said at 11.57 that amber warning is being extended south and east. They are certainly taking their time tho!
  7. its gonna be rejuvinated by a push from the west.... Just to add regarding the nmm, i dunno whats happened to it this cold spell, in the past i've seen it be more accurate than the nae but its got it so badly wrong for the snow events this cold spell....i think they need to ctrl+alt+del it or something! I guess i'm only really talking from a imby point of view, maybe it's done better for other locations. EDIT: yellow warning extended a tad further south...let's see how far south the amber comes wen updated
  8. Just went outside for a final measure....still got an even 9cms with some 11cm drifts! been a great cold spell i think i'm gonna spend this final snow event in the 3 counties and ea thread Good luck to all those hoping to see some snow falling late this eve and overnight
  9. I've no idea how mild it needs to be for that! But it will be quite wet and windy at times next week
  10. Hi coast, Yup I'm going to the pub and then home by midnight for an all night vigil by the window. Ah I'm so cool
  11. Hi bd I hear you, its just a bit far away to be taking any wind forecast seriously (for me anyway), but certainly following it with each run and next week is looking lively to say the least. Before then, being north of this region, I'm hoping for a bit of snow as a good send off to our cold spell
  12. From what Ian Fergusson said, we could see those BBC forecasts change. And remember if a model shows u on or near the line of snow / rain, then u gotta take all forecasts with a pinch of salt because no model can predict that line to the mile
  13. The 12z gfs shows rain for all our region with perhaps 30 seconds front edge snow. The nae is the one showing snow for us (some of us)
  14. I was about to make it 3 in a row but saw the two above before I hit paste! Being on the s herts border, I wonder if I'm included when he says southern areas
  15. just to add something that might be useful to bear in mind - the gfs hd precip (0.2 deg) and nmm have been woefully poor during these recent snow events and the nae has without doubt stood out (particularly within t24 range). Also, out of all the precip charts that are publicly available, the only one the met office use is nae. Not saying nae has nailed this but it certainly out performed the others in the past 10 days
  16. I will be staying up tomorrow night to savour every flake until the last one turns to rain!
  17. At last the radar stop lying and the snow actually starts falling!
  18. These false radar returns are soooo annoying. Given up on the radar and resorted to staring out the window
