  1. Hirlam sends the first low on Thursday more North, other models have wanted to move it NW as it enters the channel, giving SW England/Wales etc into Ireland. Hirlam has other ideas and pushes it Northwards. Gem has been showing this reguarly but can we trust its progressive push? Fascinating oncemore this situation.
  2. Especially for those NE in this thread. Hirlam looks great for Thursday sends the first band North and less focus on moving it NW at that point..
  3. Breakdown through Saturday. Less cold air from the South. Far South and SW less cold through Friday, but think snow will be fine for all, its the precipitation being around which is up for discussion?
  4. After viewing every model run over last two days, its facsinating to say the least. Intially i ain't expecting much from Thursday its the front heading NE through on Friday i'm interested in. ECM gives 13cm. Gfs 5cm. Icon 4cm. Arpege 7cm. Its a really interesting one, changing run to run.
  5. Benson the frost hollow will play a part but i agree. City centre is 3.5c. Just 1.5 miles east and in Headington i am at -5.1c. Did you get any snow today from those showers Frosty Hollows?
  6. Indeed. Icon has been very bullish on each run with parts of Ireland and Wales having the most too. GEM has much of England under snow Thurs and Fri but its low resolution for precipitation for our parts? ( Obviously we all want to believe the GEM !
  7. ECM 12z snow depth by Friday evening. I know some are not convinced by the totals but its the closest we as public get to seeing!
  8. 3 miles south of you and we had a decent snow shower buddy. 15 minutes, covering on most surfaces. Big flakes aswell at times. Now back to sunshine and temp just around freezing.
  9. We are now below freezing too after that snow shower! E9FFDC8D-7830-40C9-A743-356DF125116F.MOV E9FFDC8D-7830-40C9-A743-356DF125116F.MOV
  10. 2 snow showers just missed here, 1 scooted of over North Oxford and into West Oxford. The other went over South Oxford. We had a few flakes in the wind. big towering cumulonimbus clouds though!
  11. Fergieweather W COUNTRY 2/2 Later Thurs into Thurs night/Fri, low pressure from S continues to look threatening in models. Risk of more widespread snow spreading N; moderate-heavy in places, perhaps locally blizzards. Added risk of freezing rain following for some. Detail v complex/uncertain.
  12. A mere dusting for you Rory in comparison to Dublin! ?
