  1. Ruddy nora, its chilly out there again. Morning was bearable with the sunshine, now cloudy with no flurries -_- Off out to tesco soon to get the grandparents some easter gifts
  2. Yes definatel darker skies... Perhaps some of us will see scenes like this later... Perhaps Headington High Street will be like later, as the schools break up for Easter...
  3. Yes, starting to cloud over here in Oxford too,the clouds look very cumulus like, could spark off some showers later!
  4. Well it really is a fascinating time watching the weather, i love seeing us witness breaking weather records, i can't remember ever witnessing a cold winter like this one which has lasted this far into spring, phenominal really. However cloudy skies generally on an easterly with the odd flurry can be boring, so would nbe nice to get some spring sunshine. Well its as you were over the next few days. More in the way of sunshine though which is much better. Risk of snow showers/flurries further east.. 1st of April. Temperatures upto 7-8c, but 5c in the north.. Best i can manage to find for the mild lovers... Looks like thereafter still hanging onto winds coming from the NE/E brisk at times, but dry, which will be welcome relief to those recovering from wet weather last week and those who have seen livestock hurt/killed in the snow drifts last weekend... Notice how the jet stream is far south, right down into Spain, proper blocking pattern this is, and will hard to move, could well be mid april before any signs of spring warmth...
  5. Have to say it may well be 2.5c but with the sun out,it does feel much nicer! Yesterday afternoon walking home and the sun came out, it actually felt bearable, even though temperatures are low, strength of sun getting stronger now!
  6. We live in hope!, that by Mid April we have High Pressure over us... By this point we really want to start seeing more seasonal spring warmth! Caution this chart is 384hrs away!
  7. First sunny morning for a while. Been plenty of cloudy mornings, from dull easterlies so far in 2013.
  8. The flurry is getting heavier, i am having trouble counting the flakes on my hands,
  9. That modified version is much more comparable to the current radar, snow flurries around here. But not as extensive as the NAE was going for!
  10. A few hours of dandruff falling from sky on/off.... ooh exciting! So we could get a B.B.Q Summer!
  11. Oh dear... End of April- Bit OTT! http://metro.co.uk/2013/03/27/uk-snow-freezing-temperatures-could-last-until-the-end-of-april-3561733/?ITO=facebook
  12. It tis snowing here.. Albeit flurries and i could probably count the snowflakes on one hand!
  13. Well it appears that Easterlies are the new westerlies for the UK! Just a quick question will this very cold weather, affect temperatures in the summer, just the sea around us is alot colder than usual especially for mid spring?! Thanks..
  14. You will be ... Next year when a channel low pivots over Oxon, and missing the Bucks area..by sliding back southwards and stalling
  15. Same here Kate! Shotover saw 6-7cm (500m higher up), while here we did have 5cm in my background though up the road just a dusting a bit lower done.
  16. Nice to see the sun just make a cameo appearance on this cold late march afternoon :-)
  17. Yep, can't even win friendly matches now Sounds good for the Snow Depth Cup next year!
  18. For those who love chasing snow charts from 5-7 days away, here is one for you! lol
  19. Also of note on this GFS 6z run, is the band of snow moving in from the East on Saturday, as the front to the SW makes little progress ;-)
  20. Snow showers becoming more frequent through Wednesday in the East and again on Thursday/Friday, Pete!
