    Just what I predicted yesterday.NORTHEAST ENGLAND will get the storms! And yet again, it appears that is exactly whats happened again today.

    Don't know, all I can see is a nose of orangey red with a number one in the middle all the way from France and stretching right across most of the United Kingdom.But that's my point, where do I start? EDIT: And I have read the forecast as well.

    Just looked back on the posts in this thread so far. Guys, seriously, I am only giving my opinion. I am not being horrible or anything.

    The skew-t hasn't brought very much in the way of SEVERE weather so far from what I can see though.

    I noticed earlier as well that the Met Office took the yellow warning away from the southwest so theres at least one weather forecast that admitted they made a forecsting mistake for here today.

    Actually, I saw that comment yesterday and actually agreed a bit, but of course I didn't wan't to!Now this evening after another rubbish day I realise that maybe I should have!

    Clear here now, and with a light breeze nothing of note to report! Can see some distant wisps of Cirrus and Cumulus.

    I wan't this pattern to change even more now as well mate.These conditions never give us interesting windy or convective weather anymore.

    In other words then, you either get a storm, or you don't get a storm.

    I understand what a risk means.What I don't get is that there have been times when there were virtually no warnings at all, in fact not even a SLIGHT RISK. And yet we had really heavy rain and close frequent cloud to ground and therefore dangerous lightning. That day deserved a MODERATE RISK.

    Well the lightning must have been very scattered then.Had nothing here apart from heavy showers.

    Please! I don't wan't anymore excitements then for it to again just fall to pieces and make me even more miserable!

    I honestly do not think that today diserved a MODERATE RISK for storms.More like a SLIGHT RISK maybe?

    Going by the lack of reports of any real convective weather it is a shock that all of these storm forecasts issued a MODERATE WARNING. If this is all a moderate risk can bring here then thats it, I'm outta here! 'Salut' Actually, I have just had a 110mph gust!Nothings left.

    Seems strange!Hope no one is lying about there being thunder there.

    Just had a shower come through here but thats all, just a shower! We had a few gusts probably around 15-20mph as it came through. There certainly weren't any 60mph winds though!

    Is that stuff in the southeast thundery or is it just going to bring very heavy rain? Don't want to check lightning detector myself as I don't wan't to see there being no Sferics in our area.

    The forecasts have yet again failed big time. Very dissapointed!!! Better be some colouful action on Bonfire Night to make up for this. Oh, wait, it is going to be ruind by heavy rain isn't it.

    I must admit that I will be very dissapointed if nothing comes this time around as I am right in the MODERATE RISK zone!!! Heck they have even issued a tornado warning!
