  1. Morning, do you have a link to this chart, just realised I've been looking at the 65* north version for the last month, which does have the mean going into a reversal, can't seem to find the link for 60* north variant On that note, isn't it still a good sign if at 65 degrees north the zonal winds are predicted to reverse?
  2. There is an intensity to the showers now, may not last long, but will pack a punch if you hit them
  3. It was hard to breathe, wind chill out there is horrendous, kinda enjoyed it in a way that how
  4. Still the potential of a bit more, snow is blowing around in a really strong wind. Will probably feel colder out up here today than it has with a wind chill of -13. Think this will be the worst day round here for getting about
  5. Those will grow as they get closer to the coast, think it's down to the change in wind direction, plenty further out on the radar
  6. This radar goes further out in to the north sea than the netweather radar, clearly shows showers building up out at sea. Wind directions should turn back easterly by tea time too
  7. Cleared the bin at 11.30 last night, absolutely bleaching it down ?
  8. It's absolutely horrific up here now, heavy heavy snow, car is completely buried
  9. He says extended, so I'm pretty sure he just means over a larger area
  10. Couldn't agree more, shocking conditions, two of my friends have been in accidents(both ok), buses broke down blocking roads, main roads closed....total chaos Still sort of love it though
  11. Conditions in Consett now are pretty horrific, my partner just came down the road sideways. Even though the gritters have been out all day, the roads are sheet ice with snow blowing all over. Radar looks full too
  12. I'm sure there is a trough on the fax, add in to that more instability, 850's of -14 and the wind picking up. All the ingredients there for me
  13. Are they moving in slightly north east direction, hard to tell on the radar as it keeps playing up. Some potent looking showers appearing now, think a lucky spot may get thunder snow tonight
  14. He does some live streams with Gav P, seems to know his stuff
  15. Some beefier looking showers just starting to pop in to range. Probably fits well with the few hours the Met had it quieter
  16. Hi, what site do you use for that image, will get it bookmarked ?
  17. We've had a good few inches and plenty more to come, wet snow it ain't. No sign of melt what so ever here
