    Just got my daughter home and it's bad up here, roads are like ice, sirens going off all over, main roads are shocking, think everything will be coming to a stand still before long

    Not always the case, we had several centimetres of snow last week which is still lingering now over the fields. It's impossible to say at this time exactly when and where snow will fall and I'm sure little feautures will pop up at short notice this coming week or hopefully two.

    Seen most the gfs (p) 12z on the meteociel app, it is a thing of beauty, especially the easterly around the 21st

    10 minutes ago in Consett we had light snow grains, definitely not rain. Temp -0.3 and Dew Point of -3.7

    That looks pretty good to me, also surprised by how early these showers are predicted to start, could be a substantial covering by Saturday morning, if the snow continues through Friday night

    -2.2 here, starting to creep back down now as well. Cannot see anything but snow up here this weekend, temps are not expected to rise above 0°C!

    Here in Consett, it was absolutely epic, never seen as many cg strikes! Apparently quite a bit of flooding throughout the area. Just stopped now, lasted over an hour!!!

    Watched the whole thing in Consett mate, I have never seen anything like it. Loads of CG, was pretty scary for a while, but awesome!!!!

    Never seen a storm like that. Lightning was flashing all over, some very close hits!!!!

    Do not know what the temperature is here in Lanchester, but just been out to the shop and its getting pretty icy out there now

    I guess there still could be a slight shift in the storms path also, not by a huge amount but enough to put yourself even more in the firing line. Not that you aren't already lol!!!! Over here in the North east will also take a hit maybe between 6 and 9pm?
