I'm pleased to report prolonged moderate/heavy snow here. It did stick to most surfaces at first, before stopping and melting a little. Now snowing again and trying to stick. Blizzard conditions in this wind. 0C. Apparently the snow is nasty nearby with a good few centimetres lying.
A lovely morning here, with some good spells of sunshine. Overcast now with light rain. Temperature has dropped by two degrees in the last two hours. Now 5.9C.
Has been snowing non-stop for around two hours now. Seems to be switching between large flakes, small flakes and soft hail. Whatever it's falling as, it's settling. About 1in lying.
Snowing heavily again here, for the second time in under an hour. A covering of around 2.5cm, and getting deeper with every shower. The snow is not melting and is very powdery. Cold, -1.9C.
Just had a heavy snow shower here which lasted around 30mins. It was really blowing around in the bitter wind. Now everything looks really nice as the sun is setting. A covering of about 1cm.
There is still a thick covering of snow on the mountains around here, which hasn't melted at all today. Patchy snow remains here, aswell as thick ice. Very cold, but not a cloud in the sky.
Wow! Very heavy snow here. 2cm already. Settling to all surfaces, including the main road. Blizzard like conditions in this biting E'ly wind. EDIT: blizzard like snow still going here. ALL surfaces are covered including the main roads. Greatly reduced visibility. About 4cm lying.
Partly cloudy right now, although not without frequent, very heavy and very blustery showers. The wind is gusting to gale force in the showers. Feeling cooler than it is, at 9.5C.
Been feeling bitterly cold here today, with a moderate SE'ly breeze. Endless slate grey skies. Very wintry. Maximum temperatures of 4C, current temperature 4C.
Overcast for the fifth day running. Endless grey skies, although there was a little brightness first thing this morning. Also been colder than expected, temperature 7C.
