  1. Only 11AM, and already pushing 23C here. Though last night went to under 9C, so it looks like it's warming pretty quickly.
  2. Oops, didn;t see this thread, and made one about the same thing in Severe Weather Discussion. Anyone know how to delete topics? And the temps for Jersey have been upgraded to 34C now.
  3. I have been looking at the weather for next week after the news said something about it getting sunny. Looking at next weeks temperatures around the south east, things could get to the low 30's, BBC weather says. Summer is on the way?
  4. Starting to come down heavy here now, and this is forecast for most of the night. Up to 10mm already.
  5. Well, 55 mm forecast here for the next 36 hours, not as bad as the 102mm they predicted for tomorrow at the start of the week, but if this happens, it will cause some problems here, with the rivers being high already, and the saturated ground. Will be one to watch.
  6. Huge torrential downpour here today, few rumbles too. Hopefully will have more throughout the day!
  7. Wow, there was me saying yesterday we were due for 100mm of Rain on Friday, and now look at he forcast. A damp day with up to 9mm of rain. How things change..
  8. Not quite, around 2 and 1/2 months rain on average for here, but that 100mm will be more than we had All of January, February, March, and the start of April put together.
  9. Yeah, here too. Please let me know if he replies, and hope this doesn't come to much
  10. I know... Adding up the totals around this area is 5 inches this week alone. Tweeted the MetOffice asking the certainty of this, since we are still far away, and they just referred me to the warnings. Hopefully it will weaken by then.
  11. Hopefully it will change - At the moment it is looking quite similar to July 2007 - We only had 50mm in one day and there was chaos, think what double that could do!
  12. I feel very sorry for families of people who have died or are missing as a result of this. The article says 5 months of rain fell overnight. How much rain do they have every month?
  13. Weird, only light rain here. But, I did hear a faint rumble of thunder earlier. At least we got something
  14. Hardly anything here... Seeing as we are on amber, I was atleast expecting something here. Something like 8mm for the day.
  15. I know. Just showing Amber for me now. Nevermind. Just closed it and re-opened, and it's there.
  16. Top story on Sky News home page titled "Flood Situation worsens" Hopefully everyone is okay, still could be a while before the worst hits.
  17. I agree with that to a certain extent, they have forcast most of the warnings in the NW perfectly, and have done a good job, but about 6 hours ago, they predicted cloudy and overcast for Swindon today. Been raining for the past 3 hours, though. But like you said, they have done a pretty good job and got most of it spot on so far, so you can't really knock them.
  18. Started coming down heavy here earlier, but now just spitting, with only 3.5mm :/ Expecting more throughout the day, though.
  19. Sounds serious. Hope they have evacuated. I'm still surpised Met office haven't given a red warning for this. Obviously having a very high impact on people, and they don't seem to be changing the forecast too much, so they look fairly certain of where the worst effected areas are.
  20. BBC weather said "Intense Thunderstorms for the South" for the remainder of today. Bucketing down here, and just to think, 4 hours ago they were predicting just cloud for here.
