  1. Models putting Gordon to the north of spain Whereas these mode;s seem to still have a possibility of the storm running over the south of the UK
  2. Red warning for Rain in the Azores too. Guessing from Hurricane Gordon.
  3. Red warning of Rain for the Azores for tomorrow from meteoalarm.
  4. Gordon weakened slightly back to sustained winds of 105 mph. Possibly not going to make it to major Hurricane status.
  5. Gorden seems to be intensifying still and has achieved Category 2 status, with 105mph sustained winds.
  6. That's up to 40% now, and still looking like it could develop into a pretty big Hurricane.
  7. Only 24.6C here. Can't say that that is a bad thing, I hate the heat. Good luck to all the people who don't like the heat in London
  8. TD 08L has now become Tropical Storm Gordon with winds of 40mph. If the models stay as current (which they probaly wont), Gordon is predicted to become a Category 1 Hurricane on Saturday, and may still be on a collision course with us, though the models still can't seem to agree on anything as of yet.
  9. Invest 93L has become Tropical Depression Eight, and is expected to strengthen more as it heads Northeast. Models keep changing, but we could still be in the firing line come next week!
  10. Rain seems to have stopped for now, but the main road outside my house must have about a foot of water on it!
  11. Taken from the weather Station in my town " Maximum Temperature (since midnight) 19.4°C at: 09:18 " Daily max recorded at 9AM? That's a first ._.
  12. Heavens just opened here in Swindon, pretty sure I heard a rumble of thunder. Has been very very dull all day, still got the lights on So we might be in the firing line for more thunderstorms?
  13. Not sure where to post this, so I'm sorry if this isn't the right place. Invest 93I looks like in a few days may begin intensifying as it moves WNW. Although not forcast to intensify much over the next 48 hours, after that it looks like it may intensify to a tropical storm/hurricane. But after looking on Weather Underground, the models show it's path may be across the UK. I know it is still a very long time away, and things could change greatly, the models haven't changed much in the past few days. S what do you think, possibly some more windy weather next week soemtime?
  14. Dry and sunny all day, with no wind. Daily max of 27.5C
  15. Don't remember the date, but there was a storm around 2005 that caused havoc here. Frequent Thunder and Lightning for about 2 hours, and flash floods. Also April this year had some memorable storms here, a hailstorm that looked like we had just had a heavy snowfall, and the first Funnel cloud I have ever seen.
  16. http://news.sky.com/story/969806/thousands-evacuated-in-philippines-floods Sky news article saying "Manila and much of the island of Luzon is flooded after an epic 3.24m of rain fell in less than 24 hours."
  17. Pretty much any extreme weather bar severe heat. Snow, very strong wind, and thunderstorms are top of my list though.
  18. Station in my town recorded 30.2C - Theb highest since 1st July 2009 here! Tomorrow may even break that.
  19. http://swindon.weather.me.uk/ here's the weather station in the town. Saying 28.6, and not even midday. Might hit 30 here today!
  20. I know, been really warm today, and temperature only just starting to really drop now.
  21. Temps got up to 29.2C here in Swindon, the hottest it has been since June 2012 (2 years, 1 month). Might be even hotter tomorrow, and I guess it could still get hotter in the next hour.
  22. 27.9 was the hottest reccorded here this year so far, and currently 27.1C. I think the May temp may be broken today.
  23. 25.8C was the max for today. Still a way to go for the 27.9C seen in May. But it's meant to keep etting hotter here, peaking Thursday
