    i remember getting a pasting here in feb 09 with only -3 uppers, though what uppers does this event require ? also i don't think the PPN will be as strong as suggested as most times PPN is not that heavy here.and in the east

    Bedford where i live, is on quite low ground but it should still be all snow i reckon, i always here reports of a pasting in luton but not much here

    i bet luton gets more snow than bedford so i'll drive down to my dads house in luton before the snow comes lol

    it will either shift loads west or loads east and i'll miss out like normal

    maybe the three counties are in a good spot for snow on saturday, not to far west and not too far east, though of course things will change again right up till the last min

    it says that as well for my region, you couldn't ask for a better upgrade im still not convinced though

    there are only 2 seasons in this country, spring and autumn, summer and winter may as well be scrapped

    GFS FI is a high pressure fest that we can only dream of getting in summer. even though its in FI you can bet it will happen just down to the typical nature of this climate.

    funny how we are all intrested in the weather but moan about how boring and crap it usually is i myself get frustrated with the mediocore weather but i just can't ever give up this hobby.

    yep winter is over but i wouldn't rule out snow in spring lovely easterly on the GFS maybe we will get lucky at at 7th bite of the cherry

    yeah america i would move there if i had the dosh, or i would move to France or somewhere in central or eastern europe, only problem is english isn't their first language

    Storms in summer are almost as rare as snow is here in winter, summer is just as frustrating as winter, esp if your expecting clear blue skies and 30 + c if people are happy with 20 to 23 c and partly cloudy of course there are many of those days in summer as it is the average weather.so summers in this country and still better than winters

    i haven't even bothered to read the papers because i just know how over the top they go i think the press should tell the general public how often they get lucky this country misses out on cold and snow, instead of complaining about it when snow comes round once in a blue moon esp in london. .

    im actually more fed up of the models than the actual weather, if i didn't have access to a computer and saw all these dream charts that hardly verify then i would never know if snow was coming at all These models need a serious upgrade

    medicore run so far, that big low in the atlantic looks further east, not sure what happens after cold uppers on tue are shunted out to the north sea

    At T168 the pressure is 1040mb over a part of greenland but why is it still blue on the chart ?

    big difference between UKMO and GFS at just T96
