  1. - 5c in the north next week and -2c in the south according to GFS Goodbye crops
  2. cloudy all day and as per it clears up at night, same old story
  3. august is better because its warmer and you can sit outside, plus crops harvest then. may is overrated its always cold in the evening and night
  4. horrible cloudy, dull, windy day, but by magic the cloud has cleared now and the wind has died down, gonna be chilly tonight, will my crops survive, i doubt it but i am sick to the back teeth of this cold now, why can;t this happen in winter, i knew we would pay for having a mild winter
  5. lets hope the GEM is on to something, the UKMO is awful with that horrible northerly for next week, i bet the GEM downgrades and jumps on board with UKMO
  6. The amount of times you have said high pressure building is ridiculous, ignore FI when high pressure is showing the GFS is as bad as it gets, frosts will damage crops.
  7. yet another horrible, dull, damp day, i have almost forgotten what sunshine and warmth feels like, i am pale as well, i will probably have to go on the sunbeds because im not gonna get a tan when the weather is like this, just shocking, im sure we will get plenty of sun in september and october just when the UV levels are weak.
  8. dear me 18z is a horrible run, we get a chilly northerly next week which will probably result in more frosts, so crops might have to wait even longer to go outside. cold always seems to upgrade in spring but never in winter, typical
  9. warm uppers in france never get here, its just like winter when all the cold dives in to france from an easterly, and we miss out, the uk position annoys me
  10. well where was this frost, i was waiting all week for it, so i didn't put my crops out, when it turns out i could of, typical a bit milder today up to 10c wow
  11. javascript: viewimage(1); this might be FI but look at the temperature contrast between the midlands and France, i bet the cold wins out and the south ends up cool as well while france basks in the heat.
  12. agree with radders it has rained plenty of times here at night lately, keeping me awake at night, then come morning it is back to the boring dry cloudy rubbish. its like when people say it always rains on weekends and its sunny during the working week, thats not true many a time it has been nice on the weekend and come monday or tuesday it is back to slate grey skies
  13. 15 mm here we had last night curently it is ony 7.2c here that is shocking and it was warmer than this during most days last winter
  14. plenty of rain here again last night, bedford has been very lucky with all this rain lately when usually it misses out on the good rain though today is a dull, cloudy chilly day, yuck
  15. disgusting cool cloudy day here, i actually prefer it when its raining heavily compared this horrible pointless murk
  16. that is true, however today i feel cold as it has been a dull and breezy here
  17. Agree with this, i thought Gavin changed his name when i saw the name High pressure
  18. things like cucumbers, beans and lettuce can be seeded in early june so there is plenty of time for that, its just my impatience tbh because i want to get them outside, i just knew we would probably get some sort of northerly and today up pops a northerly on the charts, i bet it comes off as well even though it is in FI
  19. completely off topic, but i was literally just going to go to my allotment and put my crops out as it looked to be warming up next week, good job i looked at the 12z as it looks like a northerly could be on the way in FI, but as it is spring it won't downgrade like it would do in winter Sunday looks quite wet in England and Wales but will it be that wet in the east as most of the rain looks to be in the south and west to me
  20. agree its nothing special but i would take it, better than 10c with a chilly breeze
  21. no, the best thing to hope for is a very wet autumn then we can have a cold winter with lots of snow, that might be enough to help the drought.
  22. i have an allotment but nothing is out yet, as we still have the risk of frost, though next week look warmer at night, maybe i will risk it and put them out hopefully may doesn't end up very dry like so many months previously just when i need the rain
  23. Urgh, GFS 18z gives us a horrible easterly in FI, i bet it comes off as well, as they usually do in spring, if it were showing in winter it would downgrade at T 96 also this weekend 26c in holland and 12c in the east of england, just ridiculous
  24. then the northern blocking will end just as winter arrives, again
