  1. rubbish, yet again the rain here is only light, and the showers won't get here, the charts look very unsettled but as usual its just cloudy and dry Atlantic weather systems are useless for my part of the world, thundery plumes are much better, but they are as common as snow is in winter.
  2. pathetic rain here, yes the charts look scary with all that low pressure around, but i think people get carried away by the charts sometimes, its the same old same old here and probably in other parts do, yet again another damp squib, the drought goes on.
  3. shock horror no showers here and its cloudy and dry, we might as well be under a bartlett which isn't in a good enough position for sun but good enough to kill of the showers by the time they get to us and just leaves a legacy of cloud
  4. yep i have seen plenty of ice days in april, but i haven't seen many in december
  5. so if we had a severe cold spell in winter where some places got down to -17c would your little valley place get down to - 30c ? somehow i highly doubt that
  6. i remember last October and November people were saying better to have this mild now rather than in winter and look what happened
  7. yep, dec or jan, i would prefer, but feb is still fine, we did have a very cold spell in feb this year, but we only had one snow event, anyway the winter was crap in general, just annoying that northern blocking always seems to happen in the months we don't want it in, but if we get copious amounts of rain that will do for me as we need it. just as long it don't rain all summer too
  8. yet again cold synoptics come 2 months too late, this cool weather in april is nothing but a nuisance for me, as i can't put out my crops unless i cover them with fleeces which cost about £40 in total hopefully at least we get some decent rain or showers this week, but im not holding my breath and it will most probably stay cool, cloudy and dry here like usual rant over.
  9. surprise surprise, king Azores high is back on the ECM in FI im not normally bad at reading the charts but these synoptics are hard to tell would there be a high chance of heavy showers this week for my area, or is it likely to stay dry and cloudy like usual, the precipitation charts don't really help as they are not very accurate, i have an allotment so i am desperate for rain, thanks in advance to anyone who answers my question
  10. agree just because the synoptics look different dont mean it will be cold and wet, it will probably just be cloudy and dry here like usual
  11. shock horror, just cloudy cold and windy here, no rain or snow im too far south
  12. dec 2010 was the best snow event here for about 20 years
  13. im so jealous of all that snow, just boring nothingness down here, and tomorrow i have a great day of chilly drizzle to look forward to
  14. no surprise that everything downgrades as per usual, so im not gonna throw my toys out of the pram i hope i see some rain tomorrow but even rain downgrades these days
  15. i live in the south midlands but i doubt i will see anything as im on low ground
  16. high pressure high pressure high pressure blah blah blah gavin
  17. i used to want snow and cold in march and april, but now i have an allotment so i just want it to stay warm, but we can still get frosts in may. unless it is an exceptional event like 1981 then snow and cold is just annoying at this this of year,
  18. yep some are already bored of this weather, for gods sakes its only been really good like this for about 10 days max, we are probably not gonna see any rain next week just cloudy, cool and breezy, how depressing, at least if we saw plenty of rain i would like that,
  19. if i had to chose i would rather have clear sunny skies everyday than boring cloudy dross everyday of course i like variety but even though this country has the potential to be variable, more often than not it isn't, and cloudy with average temps and a few sunny intervals rules the roost most days, esp down here. my passion for the weather is waning but i just can't give up this hobby
  20. i wasn't shoving it down your throat i just can't understand how you are already bored of this weather. as i said its only been clear and sunny for about a week, im sure their will be weeks and weeks on end of boring cloudy, breezy weather for u to enjoy very soon. i would love for us to get heavy rain, or see hail, sleet and snow showers next week, but i highly doubt that would happen as that weather is rare for this part of the world, so i would rather it stay like this than go back to the depressing cloudy dross
  21. its exceptionally rare for bedford to have 5 clear days in a row too, Telford isn't the only dull place in the country as you seem to always make out, of course there are still many places worse off than me, but it isn't as nice as people think down here most of the time
  22. occasional cloudy days ? we get cloudy days about 80% of the year, having this wall to wall sunshine nationwide is so so rare, i don't understand how people get bored of it so quickly, we have only had this for about 2 weeks at the most, its nothing compared to the duration it lasts in a Mediterranean climate also the spring switch around from warm and sunny, to cold with wintry showers is overrated esp in the south, next week it will just be boring and cloudy with no rain yet again, and temps about 7 to 10 c, with an annoying chilly breeze Wow really exciting
  23. we can have BBQ's in october and march, but not in june, july august
  24. my sensor don't work probably as well lol, it was 16c here, but my sensor said 11.7c maybe being in the cool shade keeps the temp down on it. not a great day here the sun was far too hazy for my liking but still felt pleasant
  25. how many dry springs have the south and east had in the last 5 years though ? i believe mother nature balances herself out eventually. its just my opinion some share my opinion and others don't also it is much harder to get big fat highs over us, than it is normal westerly zonality, so getting these synoptics now is a waste
