the UKMO has temps of 14c for tomorrow in london and if it dries out it won't feel too bad for the jubilee celebrations
so its an upgrade, as it was supposed to be 9 or 10c, but of course you won't hear Publus engima mention this upgrade
-
TBH i could do with the rain, for my allotment, but why does it always have to be cold rain all the time, this bank holiday weekend will be colder than days in mid winter
-
Sundays are common for this setup, often rains all day on a sunday, just normal really nothing out of the ordinary, cant say I particularly like it, but it is normal Sunday weather
By the way it is gonna rain on saturday night, i notice you always seem to think it rains during the day and not at night
-
Unsettled from UKMO tonight

Wonder if ECM will offer anything different
Descriptive as always Gav

we had a 2 minute downpour looks like i just clipped the southern end of it
-
im hearing all these report of 21c 22c up north, but its only 18c here, although it is pleasant enough with sunny spells
-
why do northerners think the south is much better for sun, trust me its not, its is rare for us to have 7 days of wall to wall sunshine too you know
now we have some horrible, pointless northerly later in the week which will give us cool cloudy depressing days, with the cloud magically melting away at night to leave it very chilly i hope it don;t get too cold otherwise my crops will die, and that will be it for this year, too late to re plant some seeds for certain veg
-
well today was supposed to be the last nice sunny day, but it has now clouded over, still warm at 23c though
look at the greenland high on the ECM if only it were winter, same old story though
i can't believe some are already bored of this weather, we have only had this for a week, we had to put up with 7 weeks of cool rubbish prior to this spell
-
Another fantastic day, high of 24.7c but felt a lot hotter in that strong sunshine
a shame this has to come to an end but this is England so no surprise
I see Publius Enigma is back posting on the MOD thread telling us that the Greenie high is here to stay and its gonna be cold and grey blah blah blah and there's a chance of some grass frosts etc, dear me he is tedious zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Again the GFS goes crazy -3 for the midlands, really ? under these synoptics

what is wrong with the GFS, why does it always show cold minimums, would it really get that cold under these synoptics
http://cdn.nwstatic....6/ukmintemp.png
http://cdn.nwstatic....156/h500slp.png
if that happens crops will be killed, and in my case again as i have had to re plant new seeds
-
no, its the 12z check meteociel
anyway lets hope they are wrong but we can't dismiss them just because we don't like what they show, though GEM is not bad its just cooler for the east
-
Lets hope the GEM and NOGAPS are wrong because they look poor if we are to see warm weather next week.
-
Crystal clear blue sky, nice breeze and 23c, who needs 31 32c, though i would like just one very hot day at about 36 or 37c to break the record for my location i think the record for my area is 35c
-
Thats FI gavin, how about posting the chart for mid, next week when it shows some cooler north easterlies over us

I can definitely understand people getting annoyed at people who sleep in and as a result are late for work etc
One thing I think is unfair though is the notion that people who get up late are 'lazy.' I definitely am not a lazy person, I do a lot of sport, go to the gym, do lots of work and study (I'm a student) but also do my fair share of partying and late night clubbing etc.
I think that I simply find that there's more things happening later at night then at say 7 or 8am, so I prefer staying up later and in return waking up later to compensate for that. For example I usually find that there are some good films on late at night.

yeah there are good films late at night, but what kind of films are you talking about eh ? i don't think this is the place to discuss that though
the point is there is more tv on at night these days and people end up staying up later
-
still cloudy here, but starting to brighten up
-
which is why the clocks don't need to go to CET as people in this country are earlybirds, i would never get up at 5 30 in the morning, getting up at 8am feels early enough for me,
in spain they play football and eat at 11pm at night sometimes, im sure if we had a climate like there's people would do things later in the day rather than first thing at dawn. but here people go home in the evenings and just want to go to bed at like 9 or 10 pm
-
it was only 21c here but that felt hot, because i am not used to these temperatures after having 2 months of cold gloomy crap,
-
He just dislikes sun and warmth, no big deal, I know plenty of people who dislike both and have no illnesses.
Anyway the sun can be annoying at times, an overcast day can be rather comforting.

yes it can be if we had clear skies all the time, but we don't, so overcast skies are rarely comforting they are far more tedious than having sunny weather all the time
-
i can understand people not liking heat, or even warmth as it can make you sweaty and tired, but sunlight, really ?
-
at long last a decent warm sunny day, temp 21c
-
we are neither the midlands or the south east but i prefer to post in here
