Watched the storms coming in from the channel was lovely low rumbles. Getting closer now and sky is lighting up fairly frequently with some very deep long rumbles.

There was a burst water main in Eastbourne this morning and I think this is what this photo is showing.
To edit my earlier post recorded an intensity of 142.8mm/hr at 11.26 this morning. Rain seems to be easing off now which is good because there is alot of surface water on all the roads around here.
To give you an idea how heavy the rain is I have just broken my record on the weather station and recorded a rate of rain 99.6mm/hr. Obviously it was short lived but just goes to show how intense the rain is.
Torrential rain again and shotgun thunder with lightning to the south east, south west and north just came over as black as the ace of spades. Have had to put the lights on as it went so dark.
Yep just heard a very deep one. Been told from someone in Eastbourne they had about 30mm of rain since midnight, I'm on just over 23mm so far but looking outside it has just started up again.
I did email them yesterday to question their 'sanity' but got the usual standard email in response. "We will reply to you within 10 days of receipt of this email". Will keep an eye on it and if it gets too bad will just go out there and take the covers of myself
