  7. Rain rate record broken again at 11.26 142.8mm/hr seems to be easing off now.
  8. To edit my earlier post recorded an intensity of 142.8mm/hr at 11.26 this morning. Rain seems to be easing off now which is good because there is alot of surface water on all the roads around here.
  9. All time record for rain intensity on the weather station just now 99.6mm/hr rain total for today is currently at 33.7mm.
  10. To give you an idea how heavy the rain is I have just broken my record on the weather station and recorded a rate of rain 99.6mm/hr. Obviously it was short lived but just goes to show how intense the rain is.
  11. Torrential rain again and shotgun thunder with lightning to the south east, south west and north just came over as black as the ace of spades. Have had to put the lights on as it went so dark.
  12. Yep just heard a very deep one. Been told from someone in Eastbourne they had about 30mm of rain since midnight, I'm on just over 23mm so far but looking outside it has just started up again.
  13. Woken by thunder about 3.30 quite distant that seemed to die off but in last 10 mins or so t&l right overhead with torrential rain
  14. I did email them yesterday to question their 'sanity' but got the usual standard email in response. "We will reply to you within 10 days of receipt of this email". Will keep an eye on it and if it gets too bad will just go out there and take the covers of myself
  15. Makes it even funnier the local council are supposed to be resurfacing the road today and have covered all the drains up in preparation for that
  16. 30mm of rain is enough to cause flooding trust me, several main roads were cut off earlier in the year after receiving just under that amount.
  17. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings/#?tab=warnings&map=Warnings&zoom=5&lon=-3.50&lat=55.50&fcTime=1437692400&regionName=se Met O warning out for this system now. "More than 20 mm widely with low potential of more than 60mm"
  18. That's not Portsmouth in the UK there is no bridge like that anywhere near the water, Portsmouth US maybe.
  19. Bowl of ice cubes in a plastic tub in front of the fans works great at cooling a room down
