Looks like a block of flats was struck by lightning in Hailsham, being in the sticks no news service seems to have twigged, only information I can get is from Facebook
"It appears to have struck one corner/side of the building, collapsing the roof. Flames have been seen at various top floor windows, the fire brigade are trying to contain it from both sides. At first there were people still inside certain flats but it seems they were evacuated pretty quickly. I don't think there are any ambulances on scene but certainly many fire engines and the police are turning vehicles around at Western Road's junction with Sussex Avenue."
