  1. I have a feeling someone has gone continental in their units of measurement! Lol nice one Liam
  2. If you look at the description of the matrix that is issued by the MO it's based on impact rather than over 'x' amount warrants such and such a warning. Relatively speaking still a way to go till specifics are finalised
  3. Thanks Liam am on iPad so couldn't paste chart in.
  4. Eh? It is showing 70+ along the south coast and 60+ well inland
  5. Lol thanks but not thanks, but can almost understand your point of view!
  6. Indeed Liam, Fax will be interesting tonight, he has also edited his post to read "W/NW/SW/S England"
  7. mickeyb44 don't put your camera away just yet From Fergie over on MOD thread
  8. Well at least we are inside Fax Chart range now, so will be good to see what Exeter make of it.
  9. Guess it depends on location, on the South Coast it's showing higher gusts midnight and 0300, but still a few days out and many changes to come no doubt.
  10. Daniel if you are going to quote someone it is polite to give credit to that person
  11. Flooding yesterday and then this forecast for next week. I hate wind storms
  12. Too far out to tell anything at the moment there will be lots of changes between now and then, maybe have a better idea on Sunday
  13. Yep same here, blue sky, but a bit of a chill out there
  14. Lots of roads flooded round here today and trainline up to London was flooded at Plumpton
  15. This any good to you Mapantz http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/imagery/neatl.html
  16. In response to the comments about a rain warning for the south this morning, not often I participate in criticising the MO but judging by the flooded roads round here and the fact that the main train line up to London from this part of the south coast is flooded then maybe a yellow warning was warranted for this morning.
  17. Indeed nice to dispel a myth that Met O finishes work at 5pm which one poster on here commented a few years back!
  18. I got notification from Met that it came out at 00.40, maybe they updated it at 4am
  19. Wind out there sounds mental. Woken me up, coming from more West than the usual South West where we have shelter from the downs. Not looking forward to later when it increases as severe wind is my least favourite weather.
  20. Blimey things must be looking up if Shrimper has come out of hibernation
  21. Wise words Wiven. I am keeping an eye on this as throughout today Met Office raw data has been slightly increasing gusts down here on coast. Current max gust is 63mph but we do get some shelter from the Downs. My advice to everyone keep an eye on this so as to be aware but still time for changes.
  22. The GPS transmitter was getting close to being buried under snow so it was dug out and re-set, expect GPS readings to be a bit wild until it settles.
