  1. 33.8c in St Neots from 19.9c at 8am -quickest rise I've ever seen -I think we're in with a shout of the record here (tomorrow maybe!). I unofficially recorded 38.9c 3 years ago so given the proximity to Cambridge of this town I still think I hold the current record
  2. So did I. Stopped clock and all that though. Going on recent heatwaves it will go out with a fizzle whilst the continent lights up.
  3. I had a fully fitted one in my last house and have just moved- first big change has been having 2 installed this time, I feel the heat easily especially at night so it just makes sense. I use it for 6 months a year and these days are when it comes into it's own. Well worth the money to avoid all this heatwave carp.
  4. No its not, the temperature scale doesnt start at 0c.
  5. 37.7c sunday 17th St Neots (Cambridgeshire).
  6. From 32c yesterday to 11c today, wishy washy rain, no thunder/ proper breakdown to make up for the return to winter conditions. The UK climate is totally grim these days. No happy medium, barely any excitement. Just give us a warm spell with a proper thundery breakdown for gawd sake.
  7. Altocumulus castellanus suddenly popping up everywhere here but based on the latest in this thread I'm presuming it means precisely nothing in terms of possible storms. Seems the way now - hot spell swept away by nothing- what happened to the old heat and stormy breakdowns?
  8. Another fantastic storm and proper hail. New house, new weather. 4 storms already this year. 20220531_150458_1.mp4
  9. Used to be more much more varied but its mostly a dull fest these days which is why I've given up recording the weather and binned it as a hobby. Still take an interest here and there especially with storms (even thise are rare beasts these days) but its not what it used to be 10 years + or so ago.
  10. What a day to not wfh - 3 rounds of thunder in London today so far and best cumulonimbus' I've seen in a long while. Cracking day, literally.
  11. Decent storm right overhead here in london, another storm bonus, nice year so far!
  12. Just finishing up the best (short) storm in perhaps years, sadly didnt capture any of the close cgs (just a tiddler per attached) but certainly enjoyed them albeit a bit close for comfort!! Must be around 40 flashes a minute. Thanks weather gods, finally!!
  13. That's going to be a tough one given I said over the years, just generally felt they have been very accurate over time.
  14. Hope you're right, I'm feeling a bit cheated this last week!
  15. Estofex nearly always bang on over the years so looks like game over for here at least.
  16. Beautiful pics, that last one in particular is a stunner. Jealous!
  17. Or in the last 15 years on here, literally high 100s if not more.
  18. Looks like they may be on their way or at least the tail end...
  19. 20220504_160615.mp4 Huge crack and boom just now, finally some weather again!! Hail stones now too, garden flooded in under 5 mins. Let the good times roll!!! 20220504_160615.mp4 20220504_160615.mp4 20220504_160615.mp4
  20. Didnt think it would happen but first thunder of the season . Whoop, whoop!! Lucky I'm I'm wfh today to get it! Weird its not showing on lightning maps, defo had a big rumble! Beautiful downpour too after about 1 month of hideous dryness.
