  1. Latest Met Office Update has light snow by 3am, I hope they are right. Temps still -1.6 here with a -1.9 dew point I think its all to play for. Going to give it another 90 minutes with a couple glasses of wine before bed!
  2. Main precipitation now about an hour away, even living on the highest hill in Merseyside I expect cold icy rain/sleet at best, would love to be proved wrong though!
  3. Temps well obviously rising to the east of the Pennines in inland areas, very surprising & strange.
  4. As I just said, still temps of -1.9 here with dew point of -2.2 here 17 miles from Liverpool....
  5. Not being funny but can we keep posts relevent to the here and now and not trawling back years and trying to score cheap points. Temps here still -1.9 and dew point still -2.2 here, doubt I will see anything wintry but I still live in hope! lol
  6. will get to us far earlier than that mate, I'd say just before 2am.
  7. Jo Blythe on Granada Reports is going for Sleet & Snow showers across the whole region tonight, settling on higher ground with slushy deposits to low ground, I'll go with that!
  8. If it was only going to come through at 4am I wouldn't bother staying up for it, but as I think it'll be knocking at the door shortly after midnight I think its well worth staying up for and seeing the outcome. It will be crossing our region the perfect time of the night when it will be as cold as the conditions will allow, so fingers crossed!
  9. I'd go for between 12:00am - 2:00am for it to arrive. Going to get some Wine in tonight and do a bit of Lamp post watching myself, I do honestly think we'll see some wet snow & sleet falling for a time.
  10. I live on the side of Billinge Hill and I reckon there is a good chance that the precipitation for late tonight/early tomorrow morning could well be of a wintry nature. Ground temps below 0, dew points into the minus's & uppers at around -5, some people might be surprised when they wake up in the morning!
  11. Its that big blob of precipitation to the North & West of Scotland, its going to move South across the Country overnight.
  12. Still falling here, -0.8c here in Billinge. NW Wind is picking up though making it feel really cold!
  13. They must be revising their warnings for the overnight period, Wales was under an Amber Warning and there is still about 6 hours of rainfall to come through from what I can see so expect to see new Warnings issued imminently.
  14. Met Office "Be Prepared" Warning's been taken down off the website. Possibly upgrading to a Red in parts of the South West and Amber Warnings for other parts of the Country being issued I reckon.
  15. It's one run, the indications are still for an unsettled week with cold uppers across most of the UK between -2 & -4 and then from late Friday 30th November a real cold blast. Some of the garbage I'm reading on here is quite laughable.
  16. Thickness & Dew points are also an important factor to whether you get Snow or just plain Jane Rain!
  17. We had some mega hail showers here lastnight near Wigan, was good to see the ground looking briefly white for the 1st time this Autumn!
  18. Good to see your not a snob Floaty and you shop at Aldi like me, have I told you their Irish Cream is to die for.
  19. Surely you mean 50 miles South, you live in Lincoln!
  20. All I want to know is what are the realistic chances of a White Christmas for the Northern half of the UK this coming Winter.
