  1. Oxford looks to be sweet spot in the coming hour(s) nice shower line setting up. Never has that been said imby ever.
  2. Some bizarre comments. I think the majority would be happy with a dusting that hangs round for a couple of hours. There is not large amounts of precip on offer, but who knows. We may all get sweet FA, someone may get 2-5cm. But you do not need 4-5 day cold spell for snow to settle.
  3. I've not argued once if precip would be an issue.
  4. Yes marginality not an issue tonight. Well thanks for the advice, but that's probably not what I come on here for. Cheers for your concern though with my reality
  5. Yuk! I'd rather full zonal and raging gales thanks. I'm no expert, but I do know what's required for it to snow. Main ingredient being precip. It is indeed
  6. I don't think so, more for eastern areas I think. It's not a NE flow, so I'd be surprised if it was that batch.
  7. Perhaps it's the Midlands as some showers are popping up as mentioned from nowhere there in the last 45 mins
  8. I think looking at the Radar the band(s) appear to be gathering to the North east, roughly on the boarders atm of England/Scotland.
  9. Indeed. No doubt in my mind that if showers turn up they will be of snow. Big if though
  10. I'm sorry but that's just not correct. Everything points in favour of snow should there be precip falling from the sky. Wet bulb, perfect, 850's perfect, temp is fine, dp perfect. Precip or lack of it, problem, but that's it. Just precip missing.
  11. I've had falling snow, but it was nowt to write home about! Not holding out much hope for this winter tbh.Although this did greet me on my return from Holland at Gatwick on Thursday evening. More annoying that I missed the shower responsible as my plane was delayed by 30 mins Grrhhhh
  12. But there's the chance of some snow tonight so why wouldn't it be debated...
  13. My DP is dropping rapidly. Now -0.2C. If precip does hit tonight I think the marginality will have gone, 850's dropping, DP dropping and temps
  14. I'm only messing, I know it's not possible! Shall be sticking my head out the window this evening lol good luck everyone
  15. So it was a waste of money then based on your last sentence. Fantastic lol
  16. Rain in Costa del Poole. Dissapointed with the Nw Radar tbh. Sleet shown snd its rain. Is that blob of snow shown on the radar over the SE actually snow?
  17. Actually, I believe 1mm of Precip when falling as snow, equates to 1cm of snow, so that would be 5cm of snow.
  18. Where are you seeing that? Euro4 just has it as rain.
  19. No, it's currently still on the other side of the Atlantic, subject to change. Could completely miss us, could completely dump snow on us, could dump rain on us. Not done yet! it's still to early IMO to completely write that off.
  20. They won't remove the warnings, it's still to far out and much can change still! Also the warnings cover both the low tracking SE and wishbone effect showers from the Northerly flow. I'm still upbeat about our chances.Don't know why so many are negative. Cast your minds back 12 months ago, we at least have a chance this winter!! (Not aimed at MPG)
  21. Well it's snowing here in holland and its settling instantly. :-p
