  1. I've looked at the models briefly and I for one shall not be venturing into the mod thread until I've had at least 12 beers
  2. Yes very irritating for my neighbours when i turn my halogen light on at 3am Would be nice to see an upgrade on the precip and cold for Sunday on todays 12z
  3. Perhaps for where you are MPG, but Northerly or North Westerly the showers tend not to reach MBY unless its a screamer of a flow! I much prefer an Easterly, but I won't lose sleep over it not evolving now(at least it looks that way), seen to many failures over the past years of model watching to get bent out of shape any more.
  4. you would think that some of the members in that MOD thread would have learnt by now! we are trying to trust charts that were over 5 days away from verifying and it's still not near being sorted yet! Perhaps our region is just more used to failure when wintry weather is concerned. I see Ian F has put a half decent update in the Mod Thread anyway.
  5. clearly a lot of uncertainty from the spreads as early as 96
  6. Yes EML it doesn't get much better than that for the South.
  7. Another good run from the 18z GFS. More longevity in the easterly with snow chances a plenty
  8. Is this relating to today's runs? https://twitter.com/wsi_euroenergy/status/555754301394796544
  9. Hi Dr. I'm probably just being picky to be honest. It is a great outlook in comparison to winter so far and last winter. I'm just stating that I prefer the UKMO and the GFS 06z for longevity of the Easterly. There is no doubt that the high is sinking on the GFS 12z though, the PV looks quite angry too EDIT: Ok so it doesn't sink as such and we end up with a UK High, off to model school I go...
  10. This is the one time we really do want the UKMO to prove it's the boss at this time frame in my opinion. I'm looking forward to the ECM.... i think.
  11. the ship is sinking, much preferred the 06z version. it sure won't be warm though
  12. Exactly what I was thinking. Looks to me like that high will sink surely?
  13. Yes I'm well aware of that, which is why I said it, it was in reply to someone saying the further into winter the harder it is to get convection off the North Sea, I was merely saying that it shouldn't be hard as the sea temps are high.
  14. I'm near the sea, very near infact and it snowed on Tuesday night on a westerly air flow. So to discount anything at this range completely is pessimistic to say the least!
