  1. And still it’s there!!! An hour later I come back and it’s still going absolutely nuts!!
  2. Think the main plume now is over in Benelux and E France. They’re getting some belters going on at the moment.
  3. From that little storm near me just moment ago!! What a brilliant past few days for many.
  4. Sky darkening to the South. Might see the third storm in 3 days!! Not bad!
  5. Safe to say this September is sure making up for the poor summer. What a cracking past couple of days. Still a couple more to go out of this fantastic spell too. Some of the most epic pictures I’ve seen yet on this forum of storms in this country.
  6. 【LIVE】 Webcam Deal - Kent | SkylineWebcams WWW.SKYLINEWEBCAMS.COM Check out this postcard-perfect spot with our webcam in Deal, Kent County. Enjoy this spectacular waterfront and pier view of this picturesque UK town. just seen a crazy anvil crawler on the Deal cam. As well as distant lightning I’m assuming on the storm out Belgium way.
  7. Seems to be an uptick in that new stuff forming in the E English Channel! That will be the next area of interest. Could be looking good for your area soon.
  8. Yeah I know what you’re saying. I think anywhere flat tends to see them more often. Seen a fair few shelf clouds up in Lincolnshire over the years racing across the fens. Since the early 2000’s and 90’s in particular there has just been a huge decrease in general activity. Can’t tell you how many times I’d be sitting down watching Kenan and Kel on a weekday evening to then have the signal and power go off due to a humdinger
  9. A shame, because Bedford used to always get good storms. I know as much as I used to watch them roll in from the S and SW from my bedroom window in Peterborough, back in the 90’s and early 2000’s especially! Every week in late spring after school, we would have a good few pearlers roll past. They would often delay the exit from school too! Sometimes you’d get another even better one hit after the first one. That’s how spoilt we used to be. Not sure where it’s all gone wrong.
  10. Them cells between Le Mans and Rennes need watching for more SE areas. Sussex, Kent and EA.
  11. My belief for an active end of august and into September is turning out to be correct so far! The benefits of our warm seas are now being felt. They’re actually creating these storms, assisting them, instead of killing them!
  12. Seeing awesome lightning in all directions west of North!! New cells going up to my S. Think the one near Ely has electrified now. Anyone missing out, here’s the sunny hunny cam. Brilliant panoramic view of the storm front from N to S!! https://hunstanton.webcam/south-prom
  13. South Prom - Live Webcam in Hunstanton, Norfolk HUNSTANTON.WEBCAM Watch a live video webcam of the main beach and promenade in Hunstanton, on the North-West Norfolk coast, in the UK. Wow!! 70-80 miles away you can see the flashes on the Hunstanton cam!
  14. The lightning path is definitely heading NNE. Plus the developments behind it are further East. Another area north of Caen has blown up.
  15. Wow! Very frequent strikes on there now! It’s maturing very well that storm.
  16. Right! This looks like it’s getting interesting. I’ll be heading out possibly, despite it actually heading directly towards me here in W Norfolk on its current trajectory! It’ll be at 1-3AM too, which would be brilliant!!
  17. Blitzortung is going pretty mad in the last few minutes!! Are you chasing tonight if it holds intensity up towards Cambs/Lincs for example?
  18. Good luck!! Hope everyone gets some fantastic photos of it! I might even head out later on if it gets into the Home Counties!
