  1. Maximum gust of 45mph here, so nothing noteworthy really. It's becoming clear that I live in such an uneventful part of the country weather-wise, perhaps one of the most boring places to be when it comes to extreme weather.
  2. Probably as they should be more certain by tomorrow.
  3. Most models forecasting wind gusts in the region of 55mph to 65mph widely across the region on Sunday night, which is rather unusual.
  4. Seems that Stoke is the only place getting something out of this cold spell, meanwhile here it's cold and cloudy. Not impressed.
  5. Yeah, I'm pretty sure Warwickshire is the worst place to be for snow (at least in the Midlands). Not even a frost this morning.
  6. Could be some snow for parts of Shropshire, Staffordshire, and Worcestershire tomorrow, but in general it's a disappointing outlook for the region as a whole.
  7. Same here, underwhelming for most of the Midlands with none of the models offering much hope.
  8. So it's looking like the Midlands is probably the worst place to be next week for snow chances (unless that system moves even further northwards)
  9. Another day of overcast skies and average temperatures, really quite disappointing after such a dull December. As for next week, I do hope that it isn't merely a repeat of the cold and dry weather we had in late November, and that snow chances increase over our region in the coming days. We deserve it after such an abysmally wet start to the year.
  10. So much uncertainty over that small area of low pressure tomorrow, which could be problematic for areas already flooded. Some models keep it further south (GFS/ECM), while other bring it further north (AROME/APERGE).
  11. Still a fair bit of uncertainty surrounding maximum gusts this afternoon and whereabouts will be affected.
  12. Glad to see the back of 2023. Such an uninspiring year locally, with limited amounts of sunshine throughout, and plenty of rain. Last month was probably the dullest December on record here. Bring on 2024!
  13. Lots of rain in the forecast tonight and river levels already high across the region. TORRO issued a convective discussion, so could be an interesting night.
  14. I'm not sure where you're seeing this, it just looks like a typical wet and grim day to me.
  15. Wouldn't be surpised, there's been no shortage of cloud and rain this year. The only thing that's been in shortage is sunshine, thunderstorms, and snow.
  16. Next Wednesday onward looking sunnier than of late, but remaining mild. I'll take that over what we currently have any day.
  17. Only 3mm of rain here over the last 24 hours, still a miserable day with no sunshine.
  18. Horrible day, just constant light rain here, looks heavier in surrounding areas.
  19. The upcoming weekend looks to be very wet indeed, but looking much more pleasant from next week onwards (mild and sunny).
  20. I'm just going by the latest outputs, which suggest that rainfall totals in the region will be around 10-20mm. North-western areas will probably fare worse (as is usually the case).
  21. The rain is pretty light so flooding shouldn't be a major issue, and forecasted rainfall totals are not particularly high. Having said that, the models have done a pretty poor job at accurately forecasting rainfall totals recently.
  22. I don't think that interests many people, and also the rain is not particularly heavy for severe flooding. It's just persistent light/moderate rain, although perhaps heavier in other areas given that rain tends to dissipate over my area as it moves over the Cotswolds.
