    The whole of the GFS 12z is so boring, the coldest it gets is -2 uppers. GFS has been poor the last few weeks, ECM much better. I think the first half of November can be written off.

    Snow for Scotland is possible at day 8 if the ECM 12z verifies, it wouldn't last long though.

    At first, a cold stratosphere basically meant winters over, now it'll be a positive OPI means winters over

    The next week looks like it will remain mild... but week 2 will change as it always does. Just don't get why people analysis anything over 10 days away, it's a pointless exercise!

    It takes time for the models to smell the coffee sometimes. ECM 00z GFS 06z Both the ECM and GFS are toying with blocking over Greenland and a Northerly setting up for the UK. There is clearly support for this to happen between days 8-10.

    The op at Day 16 'sums this up', come on, you've been on this forum long enough to know day 16 will have changed completely on the next run.

    The ECM 12z is in agreement with the GFS, that there will be a big cool down this time next week as we pick up a N/NW flow
