  1. Yet again the models have watered down this Easterly, look's like it will be similiar to the short lived slack Easterly back in December which gave a few cold days and then mild proceeded. Snow will be restricted to the SE and at most I'd say 2-4cm. Hopefully this high pressure will bring some sunny and mild days to start the Spring. If it's not cold enough for snow it might aswell be mild in my opinion
  2. 12Z models have pushed the high further North, another 100 miles north and we could be in the action. HAVE FAITH YORKSHIRE!
  3. 100 miles North and it's widespread snow for the whole of England, would be a pleasant end to Winter I have faith the ECM will do that tonight
  4. That's what happened here too, we had a couple of ice days and a fall of 15cm in Feb 2012.
  5. I am a big fan of cold and snow but also like warm and sunny weather. I have seen a lot of snow this winter, including a foot of snow in my backyard at one point, so whilst I understand some Southerners wanting another cold spell, I don't mind that much
  6. I'd trade this Easterly for another warm spell in March like last year, got to 21C here
  7. A week of cold and dry weather followed by Westerlys to bring winter to an end is what I'm expecting.
  8. This winter hasn't been to bad, but the models have been so annoying! Looks like a cold and dry week followed by Westerlys into Spring.
  9. The Easterly is showing at +96, also Easterlys are colder during February than December do don't know what you mean. It will be much colder than 4/5C.
  10. If the ECM/UKMO still say an easterly at +72, then we can open the champagne
  11. Until it get's to +72 we have all learned to take it with a pinch of salt, nice Synoptics though. P.S What would the uppers have to be like to get Ice days in March?
  12. Still waiting patiently for a snow hurricane.
  13. This Winter has been okay here, seen plenty of snow, some very heavy snow which left a foot of snow. Several ice days. I want to moan at all the ramping though, we've had no severe or prolonged cold at all despite people ramping all winter. An experienced member ramping about having near record cold in February when in reality it looks very average.
  14. Radar looks good for prolonged snowfall, still loads of precip in the south of England moving North. Reminds me of the time we got 15cm. I'd say a lot of people will be surprised come tomorrow morning.
  15. That's what I thought, looks like it it will continue snowing overnight
