    Fridays snow is thre, only for it to be washed away 15.00 midday Saturday on the GFS 12z. As we loose the cold uppers. Snowy breakdown in 24 hrs it seems.

    Not to confuse people, but AWD means a downgrade in snow potential, but better cold potential.

    06z absolute beauty upto 102hrs. As the system pushes in theres a nice undercut, grabs the cold from the east and keeps snowing. EDIT, THE SYSTEM STALLS RIGHT OVER THE SW, VERY GOOD.

    To be honest, if we have that snowfall at the end of the week that could put an end to our cold spell with milder air quickly following. Im looking for our cold to hold in place and system to held to the far W/SW, it will mean less chance of snow, but more chance of the cold air hanging on longer. Swings and roundabouts really.

    Good call TEITS. That potential snowy end of the week could be the begining of the end for the cold spell. Ive only looked at the GFS but I noticed the -5 850's are pushed back east as the front arrives at the end of the week with a quick thaw? (might have that wrong)

    Had light rain at first last night then from 9.00pm until 12.00 it was snowing/sleeting very lightly. The minimum temperature last night IMBY was 1.1, and first thing thismorning at 6.00am 2.2. Outside conditions damp with light rain. Right now in Nailsea its raining, can hear it on the office roof. Looks like today will be damp, we need some cold upper please!

    Temp up from 1.9 to 2.2. Light rain in Yatton North Somerset I just popped out to Weston, the car tempature went from 2 to 5 on the sea front.

    Im right under that on the radar, have been for 30 mins, been outside ten times and still nothing falling down to the ground!

    Well the radar says something is falling from the sky over my location......but nothing is outside!

    1.9 here in Yatton. Looks like its going to be a rainy mix around the North Somerset coast, before turning more to snow as it moves inland of the Bristol Channel. Thats just going by the radar and IMBY

    Like to hear your 100% different take on the 06z output. Again your expert view please. As I said some snow about tonight initially, then rain much of the day tomorrow.

    Cant see many snow reports happening, even in your location it seem damp. (initial front might produce a little though)
