  1. Only around 1cm in Swindon, escaped most of the snowfalls so far. Has been very cold though with daytime temps barely hitting freezing.
  2. Hi RRR where in Wilts are you? It's a big county you know! Quite heavy rain now here in Swindon Wilts.

  6. This area of heavy percip is now moving a more easterly direction along the M4 corridor now.Now seems to be on course for Swindon! Clouds around here are looking quite stormy so fingers crossed for me!
  7. Yes makes a change, our first proper (although brief) storm this year.
  8. Very unexpected for me, storm is moving away from Swindon heading ese possibly on course for Newbury.It's getting very active and building as it moves away.....watch out!
  9. Wow big storm over Swindon Wiltshire!! it developed as it approached here.Lots of CG, one very close strike! It's moving away to the east now!
  10. Swindon is currently being surrounded by heavy rain possibly stormy.Postcode SN3 on radar, seems to be moving NNE.
  11. Fantastic reading BoB, here in swindon only 4 miles from me some Spitfires were built at South Marston. Some 121 type 21 Spitfires (inc around 50 extra for the Navy) were built. I actually work in the Honda plant which now sits on this old site.

  14. Apparently it did thunder in Swindon around 15.00 this afternoon but i didn't hear anything as i was at work
  15. Just had a small developing cell pass overhead in Swindon, no lightning but some very heavy rain with big convective drops.Cell moving west to east, another already developed cell is moving this way on the same path. Fingers crossed.
  16. Hi Jane L, Swindon used to get some great storms.I used to remember them growing up in this area as a kid, but recently we seem to miss out.The storms are still plentiful but not around our areas!

  20. There seems to be a line of developing convection between Liverpool down to mid south Wales.Developing cells are moving NNE?
  21. Just a light shower passing through Swindon at the mo, nothing looking convective.

  23. Looking at that band of very very heavy rain, looks to be coming ashore around Weymouth/Portland? Some angry looking cloud formations here in Swindon, i got a soaking too whilst jet washing the patio earlier.
