Yh that's what the met shows it turning at around 9pm but to my eyes the ppn is really struggling

Met changed back to heavy snow for Birmingham tonight after light rain for an hour. It was showing rain. I think they are guessing but if they have changed this close to the event then they have moved the snow line a touch west. I still think this is going to be similar to Wednesday and Thursday.

Yh this could go either way what worries me at present is the ppn looks to be fragmenting and weakening let's hope it peps up a bit because anything light will be rain. Met have changed forecast for here about 10 times now today lol. Just shows how close it is from rain to snow. Also real chance of freezing rain in places could be interesting.

Met have changed to rain, sleet and snow mix ppn looks alot lighter than forecast also think this is a bust for me but the peak district could get 10cm out of this.

Its dropping though the later it gets here the better and there are reports of snow in th NW already even at low altitude.

Still on a knife edge i am right on the dividing line so it could be anything here but we do have decent asl here. But cant complain if we dont get any last night was brutal with a ground and air frost. And previous two nights were very snowy. So gd luck to everyone especially those who have seen nothing so far. How do i get rid of the snow man lol it wont let me delete it.

Still decent chance of snow later on tonight and sunday morning. Met says its going to start as rain then turn to snow around midnight then snow right through the night and sunday morning. Still exact track of front is unknown expect westwards or eastwards corrections.

Can only see rain if it comes here DP are on the rise so it will be very marginal. Gone very cloudy so something is coming. Sunday still has potential for a long period of snow.

I expected to wake up and see it gone but to see it upgraded was something i never expected and forecast to start tomorrow at 20.00 so its now in a very reliable timeframe. If it came true then there would be widespread disruption and over 24 hours of snow. But i know how the models even the euro 4 can switch at an instant so until its falling from the sky i wont belive it. But like you said gfs took a big step towards it surely Alex has to be playing its part here. Truly highly addictive model watching at present.

The met has gone snow crazy

Yh big snow took me by suprise met app says 24 hours of snow where is that coming from thought it was meant to be dry. Dry here but nice covering at present

It's snowing

Looks like ppn is heading towards brum expect it to be snow current track would get it here around 10 with more showers coming in the early hours. Also so looks like the Cheshire gap is producing more showers than predicted could be an interesting night in some places.

Met has me down for 6 hours of snow can't see that happening but can see a nice covering. Hope all midlanders get some.

Yh mate shef clearly showed much further inland and a lot more intense.

Yh it did show it a touch more East and intensifying as it moves inland wouldn't surprise me if the whole region got a covering, expect Shropshire and Telford to get between 4 to 10cm.

Light snow now looks to be turning a bit sleety but it was nice while it lasted gd luck to you all.

Sticking to roads and pavements light covering just shows the met got it wrong for my location gives me hope for tomorrow.

Coming down very fast now sticking to grass. Also huge upgrade for tomorrow for snow potential from the met. This is a nice suprise
