? Lol? I give up already haha. Either way, Its a storm from above, You should be able to see the clouds and the lightning.. ( You cant see the ground )

Annoyingly, the video on youtube seems to be completely different to what original.. Trying to get it to be the same.. Either way. No hills. its all clouds lol

Hi guys, A friend of mine has sent me this lovely video of a storm from about 20miles away. The storm is around 10 miles wide. You can see the lightning from above in this video too. Must of been a great sight from below. ( better video ) Storm1.MOV

:shakesfist: at the sky! Altho, just had a flash and thunder.. Still. Nothing compared by the looks of things. Edit: Well, That was fun? Did have some heavy rain in the end ( lasted 20 seconds maybe ) Had two flashes.. Must of been IC though.. Just more damp and humid now lol

Ladies and Gents, I give you... The Gloucester Shield!

Gone very quite here... Shield is holding well however with PPn appearing to my east as normal and PPN to my west vanishing. Dont think ive ever seen skies this wild before. VERY fast moving in all directions at the moment. Still no rain.

I suppose what must be making things worse is convergence going on here. We have clouds moving west at quite a rate, yet the system is moving east into them

VERY blustery now. Lovely looking clouds about.. No thunder as yet. But looks mean in the background. Managed to capture this: The line of showers are really struggling to move east though.. They refuse to cross the M5 Edit#2 Started to rain, Some VERY distant rumbles.

Tempted to head west by a few miles..... Cant quite figure out the best place to be when it moves up.. Hmm maybe ill stay put otherwise ill end up missing something good. Looks like we now have a new storm just to the SW of me.

Fyi, Had a storm pass close to me ( North of Tewksbury ) Managed to see one or two CG and a couple of rumbles. Lovely cloudscapes. Still. One day, I will catch one overhead.

TORRO CONVECTIVE DISCUSSION 2013/011 A TORRO CONVECTIVE DISCUSSION has been issued at 15:40GMT on Friday 2nd August 2013 Valid from/until: 15:40 – 06:00GMT on Friday 2nd August/Saturday 3rd August 2013 for the following regions of the United Kingdom & Eire: England Wales THREATS Isolated tornadoes; wind gusts to 50mph; CG lightning; hail 10-20mm diameter SYNOPSIS Large-scale upper trough is moving in from the west, with several areas of showers and thunderstorms ongoing across England and Wales, albeit fairly widely scattered. Some of these storms have been reasonably long-lived, and could be supercells, or at least exhibiting some storm-scale rotation - they are well organised. These pose a risk for hail and wind, and perhaps a tornado, although the overall risk is deemed too low for a watch. Overnight, further showers and thunderstorms are possible, especially in western and southern parts. It may be that many eastern and north-eastern areas actually have a fairly low risk overnight - however, with models signalling some organised areas of convection moving north-east overnight, amidst enough shear for organised storms, the risk area has been made fairly large. Certainly a lot of rapid convection around here at the moment. Was going to head off the storm to my east west but it isn't well formed or active at the moment. so wont waste petrol

TORRO CONVECTIVE DISCUSSION 2013/008 A TORRO CONVECTIVE DISCUSSION has been issued at 22:45GMT on Saturday 27th July 2013 Valid from/until: 22:45 – 18:00GMT on Saturday 27th July/Sunday 28th July 2013 for the following regions of the United Kingdom & Eire: SW England S and parts of mid Wales THREATS Isolated tornadoes; wind gusts to 50mph; CG lightning; hail 10-20mm diameter SYNOPSIS Unstable south-westerly airflow will move into the area overnight and remain in place on Sunday. Overnight tonight, shear will be fairly weak so severe weather is unlikely. During Sunday, diurnal heating should allow for a few hundred J/Kg of CAPE to develop in a region characterised by increeasing vertical wind shear. Further scattered showers and thunderstorms should develop during Sunday. Vertical shear is likely to increase through the day as an upper trough approaches from the south-west. The shear should be sufficient for some organised convection, mainly in the form of multicells and small lines, wind some marginally severe hail and wind gusts. However, some updraught rotation is possible, especially in the afternoon, and a low-end tornado risk appears likely. The activity may spread into parts of central southern England and the Midlands later, and into the evening. A watch may be needed through the day and into the evening if convection develops as expected. Forecaster: RPK. Annoyingly, I am heading to Brixham today and while ill be travelling into the area further, I bet my house gets a dead on HIT today... Even NW has thunder for Glos this afternoon and evening.. Grr

At least its now cooler its been raining. Shame it wasnt a "fun" breakdown.
