  1. Not sure where these massive rain totals are gonna come from.. Hmm..
  2. Highlighted areas show promise. Looks like some convection around exeter area has created a moderate shower.. Will it grow? Unlikely... But never know in these conditions..
  3. Yarp. Will certainly be interesting seeing how much does grow out there. Knowing how unpredictable this weather can be, we could be in for some good fun or nothing at all. Just gotta see how it ignites over there ( and its looking good so far )
  4. Gotta love the strike rate on that bad boy ( and the new one to the SW )
  5. Thats a fair point.. River was a good foot or so lower than normal when I went on it last week. Spose we need nasty rain and lots of it up north of the river too. Still. Should be fun to watch.. Then again. may end up as normal moderate rain for a few hours and then bye bye.
  6. Here is one.. http://www.estofex.org/cgi-bin/polygon/showforecast.cgi?lightningmap=yes&fcstfile=2012101606_201210151603_3_forecastupdate.xml and another: http://www.estofex.org/cgi-bin/polygon/showforecast.cgi?lightningmap=yes&fcstfile=2012071606_201207142317_3_stormforecast.xml Actually theres a fair few of em.
  7. I don't care what any of you say. I'm gonna get a huge storm tomorrow.. Just you watch!
  8. Lovley convection around here today. lets hope that this is a sign the air is ready for storms!!! Really dont wanna miss out this time round. Estofex have a good extended forecast for tomorrow, Whilst not covering us. It does show something is going to explode down south tomorrow! http://www.estofex.org/cgi-bin/polygon/showforecast.cgi?lightningmap=yes&fcstfile=2013072806_201307252133_2_extendedforecast.xml
  9. Whoohooo Are we all ready? Ready for the ... Disappointment! haha, Hmmm. Damn I hope we get to see something this time round.
  10. Flooding in Nottingham: http://www.nottinghamtravelwise.org.uk/cctv-images/Cam018.jpg?1037035107223 http://www.nottinghamtravelwise.org.uk/cctv.aspx#
  11. Odd echo reply in the center? Anyone near by to that....? reports?
  12. Sadly any convection here appears to be capped somewhat as soon as something has potential it just stops and vanishes. 50/50 blue sky here. Hot and humid
  13. Yeah its a shame really. I can seen some PPN picking up right in the SW but cant see it coming to much. While the temps are obviously still nice ( even 22c is a nice day temp ) its just odd that the "plume" didnt do more. Esp with a cold front pushing against it. Granted, I did see my first lightning of 2013 last night. Just a shame it wasn't closer. Fingers crossed we get something unexpected. As for people talking about the metoffice... I remember reading only a month or so ago that they are unsure as to why we have had poor summers. However they then went on to say that we will be stuck in cooler wetter summers for a while more and dont expect any kind of heat that we used to expect. Suddenly.. Bang... We end up with a nice HP settled over us and a few weeks of really nice summer ( and to be honest , it looks like at least another week of fairly good "summer" weather ) Its quite evident that predicting "summer will be cool or hot" is just as bad as doing "winter will be snowy or not" .. Yes you can base your ideas on patterns etc. But its quite clear that we still haven't got the full picture and something else is missing in our calculations,
  14. DagNabit. Been going over the models and I cant find any evidence to suggest we in the SW could get anything decent anytime soon ( Maybe next monday ) Until then, Temps vary between 24 and 30c over the coming week with silly humidity. Dont think I could cope with another hot night like last night. Really need a storm and so far, They have skirted here just to leave us with more moisture Anyone seen any thing I haven't?
  15. Such a shame. Missed out A storm came pretty close ( sould see from distance ) but not much thunder and it soon passed to my west. Hopefully we will get something else. Its tooooo hot and muggy now
  16. Oh dear. Looks like we are in for a VERY HOT AND HUMID NIGHT over here No storms appear to be popping up in our line of sight. Lets hope when the CF moves across tomorrow we will get something!
  17. Towers going up! Although. Not massive yet.. Still its happening!
  18. Well, Its now 30.1 °C with humidity at 35% Its starting to get really warm and "close" strong sunshine with a few small CU around.
