    Wasnt particularly expecting this but we have gone from nice warm and quite sunny ...to heavy rain,lightning and awesome claps of thunder for the last half hour.... 20 miles nw of Glasgow

    Quite..CMD.....the biggest snowfall ive seen in years......local farmer had to use his tractor to move the volume of snow in the car park......it was immense.Had a great snowball fight at 3 in the morning too!!

    Now turned to heavy driving sleet But top of Helensburgh now reporting heavy wet lying snow. Miserable conditions ...temp down to 1.5 c and winds gusting to almost 45km/h

    Well..how dare we have a dry and( pleasant?)morning?? This sure makes up for it,,,pitch black,very gusty,torrential rain!!! May even gave been some thunder and lightning about 5 mins ago Yeah NUT vile is the perfect word for this!!!!!

    Looks amazing for these areas just now,Given the ongoing opportunities to top up the snow and the real possibility that we could have a cold spring.....i was wondering if snyone had a view on exactly how far into the year snowsports could take place?Could we see a bit of this ,this summer??

    According to the met office website 936 was recorded on Christmas Eve at Stornoway in the Western Isles.Goes to show what a ridiculously stormy spell we've had since the beginning of December really

    Indeed Ravelin,its a case of the Eternal Autumn this year....Our local records show that the last 24 hour dry day was 16 th December....even then im not sure the station was working that day!!Scarily the models dont show much in the way of dry weather coming up
