  1. Or possibly best describes the mood of some of us from day to day when it comes to the weather. The models certainly seem to be chopping and changing at he moment!! Im particularly interested in the weather for Paris next weekend am looking at anything from cool and 15c....to warm, sunny and in the early 70s....to hot, sultry and temps up to 30c!! Any thoughts would be much appreciated
  2. A complete reversal in fortunes then Jo....after a beautiful spell last week and through the weekend today has been rank.Briefly touched 14c earlier...more commonly around 12c with an annoying easterly!! Although theres only been a small amount of rain today its been positively dull out there..in fact I'm needing to turn on the lights ridiculously early tonight.
  3. It's hard to remember when we last had such a beautiful weekend. If it hadn't been for the low cloud taking a while to break this morning it would have been wall to wall sunshine . Temperatures have also been great...Friday ...20.4c.......Saturday ...21.1c. And today it's just after 6pm. And It's 19.1c Oh how I wish it could continue for a few weeks......but I have a feeling that's unlikely.Booooo
  4. Agreed Frosty..still looks as though many areas will enjoy some fine early summer weather over the next few days....such a shame that predictions of temps into the mid 20s or even higher look unlikely now.
  5. It could do Frosty.....but then....it depends what you call prolonged...if the following is correct... UK Outlook for Wednesday 5 Jun 2013 to Friday 14 Jun 2013: A settled start to the period with a good deal of fine and dry weather, although perhaps somewhat cloudier with some rain across the far northeast. As the week progresses, there is an increased risk of showers developing, initially across east and southeastern areas, but this risk becoming rather more widespread with time. Towards the end of the week and into the weekend, showers may merge to provide more persistent rain in places. It is likely to remain unsettled into the following week, with showers or longer spells of rain possible, this mainly in the west with eastern areas possibly seeing the best of the drier weather. Temperatures will remain close to normal and perhaps a little above in brighter areas inland, but remaining a little cooler around windward coasts. 6. You know what Blitzen, some of the behaviour over there is quite ridiculous...more children than a nursery school!!! Thank goodness for the relative calmness of the Scottish thread.Certainly there appears to be more experts on the mod thread than the Met Office have at their call!!!
  7. After a bright start to the day things look as though they may go downhill again...feels quite humid to me although temps themselves not overly warm. Some rather dark and threatening clouds forming to my east..rain doesn't look far away!! Tomorrow looks not too bad with temps certainly up...but still a few showers popping up as the day goes by.
  8. Well it's around 15 c now, long sunny intervals and a brisk breeze....turning out a nice day In fact tomorrow also looks a beautiful day...Sunday a bit cloudier...before the Bank Holiday washout!! Watch out for a frost tonight!!!!
  9. I think the problem here Frosty is that all the promise of good weather is always in FI
  10. THE WEATHER TODAY Earlier....a bit of rain Currently.......more than a bit of rain Later.....eh,probably some rain
  11. Beautiful day down here.....clouds bubbling up now...but ice warm sunny spells. Not sure of the temp though...local station recording 19.3 c currently?
  12. Midweek onwards looks to show some quite warm overnight temperatures. Will these be accompanied be some decent "sitting out" conditions,I wonder?
  13. Yes NUT. I felt it as well...already been up to 15c this morning.....cloud currently thickening and I feel there could be some heavy rain around soon. Indeed having looked at my local forecast its looking like quite a drench week coming up with rain forecast every day..temps not too bad though...mid teens.
  14. Am I right in saying March,April,May are spring months?? Beginning to think I'd hibernated and slept right into Autumn!! This is awful...teaming down, windy, cold PAH....pathetic! Take me back to the nice cold ,dry days of February please.
  15. Interesting BUS,it would be great to get some summer warmth.....are there CFS charts for the average type of weather we may experience? I would hate to think that this possible warmth will be accompanied by wet weather .....but it wouldn't come as a great surprise!
  16. Hi Paul,I like the look....guess you've washed the old version with New Improved..Bold/SurfAriel or another leading washing brand!!!
  17. Hi Frosty,I'm probably reading these charts wrong, but I really can't see most areas here in the low to mid 60s? In fact many areas look as though they will struggle to get into the low double figs. And with the continuing nagging wind I would say its going to be a cool feel to the week.
  18. It might be coming in to May....BUT.... A touch of winter still remaining as we head into next weekend...
  19. Polite request Frosty...I enjoy reading your posts but ,have to say,I'd prefer if you changed your font please. At the moment I need to increase the size of every post you do. Cheers
  20. Yet another frost overnight....heralding in yet another beautiful day AND YES. The temperature finally hit double figs at 10.29 this am and currently is 11.4c. So the warmest day of the year so far and possibly for a wee while yet going by the gfs 6z run. So,on this run, spring showing its hand down south but still cold temperatures for Scotland. Indeed gardener s need to continue to be aware as frost is predicted every night up until 14 th. April!!
