Heavy snow (large flakes) here in Trimdon.

Happy with that snow overnight. Winter finally delivered albeit in spring.
-
About 3 inches of snow here in Trimdon. Snowing lightly at present.

Ah look that first graphic shows rain for the south is anyone going to post that in the MOD thread to wind them up.
I'd laugh my socks off if it all ends up south but rains.

Yet the met office are still forecasting no precip for my area for the next 7 days
Same. Live in Trimdon, County Durham. There is no precipitation (of any kind) forecast for here between Monday 6th to Saturday 11th March.
Expecting nothing more than 4 days of cold Mon-Thurs followed by a steady warm up.
Personally, ready for spring now and some warmth but equally would not be surprised if temps remained on the cooler side throughout the rest of this month and into first week of April.

5/10 for this cold spell. Had lying snow (nothing substantial though) for 10 days, plenty of freezing fog, and several ice days. But as far as snow is concerned it's been a bit meh.
Not sorry to see the temps increase now overnight and into tomorrow. Had enough of this for the time being.

In all of the above years we got pasted here in the North east. We are defo more snowy than down south I'd say. They're just having their turn at the minute. There's met warnings for here, it's freezing and we have snow showers coming down from the North. It's a great start to winter proper!
I'm pretty happy with what we've had in this part of County Durham. Snow last Thursday and on Saturday. Decent covering, ice days, freezing fog. Transformed the landscape. Anything hereon in is a brucie bonus.

Piling in at the bottom of the country again, think I need to move, hot summers, snowy winters!!
Used to live in Poole, Dorset. Despite it's location, had quite a bit of snow there over the years. 2009, 2010, 2013, and 2018.

The Black Country has again got lucky today. Nice covering of snow outside. Brucie Bonus.

Hope the prozac is ready in the MOD thread in the morning (when the models including the ECM go tits up from a coldies perspective).

No complaints here. Done well this winter for snow in this part of the Midlands. This easterly with a few streamers is a bit of drab/boring affair. Would be good to have one huge battleground snow event/breakdown before winter is finished for the year.
-
If the cold extends past 5 days or so then there's now way anyone can discount the possiblity of snow across the whole of the Midlands.

I will laugh my socks off if the SE miss out.

Not expecting anything significant in terms of snow but will be nice to have some ice days.

Plenty of people happy over on the South East thread....sorry, mean Model thread.

Until we're down to 48 hours or less, then not taking anything granted with regards to an easterly. GFS has certainly caused some doubt today.

Love all weather conditions. Currently wet snow/sleety mix. Heavy too.
As Billy Connolly once said, there's no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothing. Going to take the dog out for a walk in a bit to enjoy it.

Well, for this part of the Midlands, this winter (so far) has been bloody brilliant. Several snow events, plenty of days of lying snow, and this current snowfall is the best so far. If I don't see another flake this winter then I'll be more than happy with what we've had here.
