Well here comes the cold, rapidly turning to snow down the country and look east over the sea on radar. Just stepped outside and feels cold already.

Yes already it's making it towards IOW. Just goes to show not to trust precip charts this week already.

To me that doesn't match the current radar in the slightest. Precip is way more west than that originally suggested. ?? Look at the timings in relation to precip on live radar.

12hrs of snow currently showing on my met office app for Tuesday evening. Its not likely at the moment based on the latest but nice to see. ❄

3oC here now. Met had it at 5oC for the same time.

Actually quite taken aback by the westward momentum coming in now. If only we could of got the cold air in sooner for early hours as going by that I think there is more precip than I gave it credit for.

That's one heck of alot of precip pushing in from the east very quickly. Be interesting now how far west it gets on radar.

Where are you getting those figures from? Do you have a temp gauge in the garden? Still got 6oC where i am but does feel colder now I must say.

The way I'm seeing things now this week. Chances of rain turning to sleet and possible light snow tomorrow morning in the east of the region. Low pressure currently to far South for anything substantial Tuesday into Wednesday as it stands. Maybe a chance of light grains but with a bit of luck could shift north by 50 miles which could help. We are then reliant on showers coming from the east so I expect we will see something falling but nothing to noteworthy unless we can benifit from a long fetch steamer. There is the possibility of an attempted breakdown with snow turning to rain towards the end of the week. "Maybe". So radar watch here on in. Conditions will be conductive for snow for a while we just need a bit of luck on our side. Good luck to everyone!

GFS has the snow to far South yet again. Feel like this is slipping away. Just a 50 mile shift North would do it. Will go down to Radar watch this week and hope we get enough Ooomph to shift things west in the showers. At this stage ill be happy to see a flake!

Latest Dew points falling away now. Hence the mist in Poole Harbour today most likely.

Can't believe how mild and spring like it is down here. Hard to imagine how much it will change from tomorrow.

They seem confident for a return to cold too. Be interesting how it all pans out. Although they say milder they actually cover themselves by not saying how mild. Is it an extra 2oC or 10? It's quite an open book really.

As good as its locked so far for here. I'll be setting an alarm I think just to see turn. Not sure why the app says I'm in that road though I'm not far from there but certainly not that road! lol

As hard as it to get snow in my location, I wouldn't trade it. Quite happy living in one of the most beautiful places in the world with miles of coastline and stunning purbeck walks. Then the possibility to see storms out to see from France. I wouldn't trade that for a bit of snow.

Lol a dusting on roof of cars at best Look at the temps for Wednesday and Thursday. Shocker. What a let down! Actually doubt it will even be a dusting look how much rain is before that lol. Might see a flake or 2

It is an amazing cold spell will feel bitter but going by latest runs it is just that for the South west a nice cold spell. All expectations have now gone for me, were now relying on scraps to make it far enough west. Oh well was fun to dream while it lasted. I've had enough of the chase this year been nothing but a let down just want a decent spring and summer now and look forward to getting a good storm. Never know may get lucky with an odd disturbance in the flow but we really are now relying on rolling 2 6s of the dice.

All in the hands if the weather Gods now regardless what models say regarding the breakdown. We're used to things being knife edge down here were a hardened bunch! Disappointing though seeing what the ECM did but things can just as easily swing for our favour yet though.

Well just caught up with the latest after walking the dog, I think regardless of what happens Sunday we will get snow in many places down here. Even if the breakdown does happen it would still be snow for a time before turning to rain. Met office favour sliders so in my eyes were doing okay to be fair after the fax and met office warnings.

I also have word from Marco! Hes saying south west may not yet miss out. We're still in the game
