Latest from beeb weather has it clipping southeast northern Ireland 4am then clear for everyone rest of the day.

That’s the same beeb which on the 5am forecast on news this morn when I watched it which showed hardly any snow for me today and I’m currently sitting in about 10 cms since this morning and counting. I take their forecasts with a pinch of salt. And I’m now in an amber warning and currently snowing outside.

So latest update for tomorrows warning looks less likely for NI to get much snow but it does say significant uncertainty

Im not paying much attention to them. They did not forecast this much for me today then sprang up an AMber warning. It’s nowcasting and radar watching for me as they have been way wrong so far

    What's the Saintfield Road like?

I'm in town and wondering whether I need to head home early.

Bad in parts. It’s basically where the showers fall which are the bad sections. Gritters and ploughs seem to be doing a grand job. You should be ok unless a lot more falls this avo. Spoke to met guy from work and they say persistent snow still possible in the east tomorrow eve but a long way off as models are like a yo yo. Some have it up to north coast some no further than Dublin. He basically said radar watching was best idea. More heavy snow showers possible mid afternoon in south and east NI.

Look at the map and tell me how this is all RoI red warning, it's just not right. Any how, what's done is done.

Parts of Northern Ireland have done way better than a good bit of ROI. At the min it def looks like an overreaction for all of IReland and I get that met eireann are hoping it comes of or serious questions will be asked ref nationwide warning

Amber warning issued just as the streamers appear to be petering out? Maybe pick up later in the today.

As for Friday. GFS definitely lessens the precipitation across the island although it does extend up into South East Northern Ireland.

Doesn't look like a Red warning for Ireland based on this run.

Yes the met office warning curse??. Yes red warning looks strange going on that run but tomorrow eve could be fun east and southeast NI

Yes mate, looks like shows going to continue though today.

If the streamers could just move another 15 miles north I would be in the game, just wind here and green fields.

My dad sent me a picture of there garden in lisburn, must be 6 inches.

Hopefully u get a bit of luck later and get in the action. Tomorrow eve may be better for you but forecast changing constantly for tomorrow.

Best snow for us for a good long while. Heaving it down.

I wonder what the GFS 6z will show.

Hopefully snow but going by any forecast I’ve watched hardly any snow for us but they stopped around fri eve. Even the south of Ireland didn’t look that bad so Iv literally no idea what’s going on.

But best snow for us in ages. Great wee covering and still snowing.
