Yes I saw that. Even if it comes to nout it’s great model watching.
-
Yeah looks good alright. More confident now they just updated to amber. Persistent snow instead of showers will be great to see. Will had to covering much quicker. I would say this is the last Swansong of winter though.

Bbc update
Tonight
A perishing night as the bitingly cold easterly wind continues to accentuate the widespread frost. Often dry but with occasional snow shower, most likely in the north and east.
Think it will be slightly different n amber area. Maybe yellow warning might get that. Depends how recent that was updated. I will go with meto. But it could be wrong but doubt it this close.

Amber warning updated until 10am tomorrow
And there it is. I would be quite confident of this happening now. I thought when I said looking at latest models and the shift east that it would benefit us and clearly that’s the case with the continuation of amber warning. This is going to be good folks.
And I have white out again. It was a long time coming this for the east but hopefully wait is over. Already have great covering.

National Forecast
01 March 2018 14:48
TodayStaying bitterly cold and very windy with heavy snow showers and sub zero temperatures in most places with strong easterly winds adding a significant wind chill.
Blizzard conditions with heavier and more continuous snow will move into southern areas this evening.Tonight
Blizzards will extend through Munster and Leinster tonight with heavy snow accumulating widely and extremely hazardous conditions. Scattered thunderstorm also. Snowfall will be more showery over Ulster and Connacht, but there will still be heavy falls here also. Icy with temperatures as low as minus 4 degrees Celsius and strong to gale force northeast winds.
Tomorrow
Tomorrow Friday will stay bitterly cold and windy with further snow accumulating, but drier periods at times in northern and northwestern counties. Snow may turn to rain for a time near southern coasts as the day goes on. Strong northeast winds with severe gusts. Highest temperatures -1 to +3 degrees.
Risk of some coastal flooding along some southern and eastern coasts through today and tomorrowStill Heavy Snowfall in Northern Areas although Showery - No downgrade in that
Yes I agree but not the blizzard that was due to push here either though.

Met Office update. Longer spells of snow for Down and Armagh tonight
Link please. Still don’t see this on their website at all.

Bad as in more snow or bad in less snow for us?
Less snow according to that update. Earlier said blizzard snow says more showery.

Where are you seeing that. Last update I have was at 1220. Maybe I can’t see it yet. Well that sounds good

That's not what their forecast for Ulster I'd saying
The Ulster forecast was updated at 1300hrs. National forecast just updated there now and it’s not as bad for Ulster at all.
-
??. Never going to happen that. It’s not pushing anywhere near that north.
Met eireann update def not as severe as first forecast for all of Ireland.
-
Could be a spell of snow in southern/eastern counties of NI around 9pm until 1 wth storm Emma approaching according to latest beeb forecast and bbc newsline at lunchtime. Will be radar watching. Tomorrow def dry. I see nothing else happening. No mention of snow st all tomorrow eve on anything.
-
Meto text update still saying dry tomorrow and sat with the odd wintry shower. Maybe does tie in with met Eireann amendments of warnings so looks like it won’t reach anywhere near here. Mind you the text this morn didn’t mention this snow today

Lol wishful thinking for us in co. Antrim. Just home after getting sent home from work - snowing but too light and blowy to lie. Very doubtful we will get anything work talking about.
It’s brutal here. Blizzard on and off last 2hrs and streamer still looks good.

Update red. Blizzard for muster leinster. Connacht and Ulster scattered snow showers. So the organised snow won't reach them.
Could be delayed for those counties and red extended from 6 in morn on Friday some stage later.

Met IE still bullish with their red warnings for later
Yes I saw that. They are still saying it’s coming and countrywide. I wonder what they see tha meto don’t in relation to this low moving into NI

That is some streamer source to the NW of the IOM. It's like a wee Vesuvius.
It’s literally heaving down. A complete full on blizzard and that streamer just looks like it keeps going! In all fairness I don’t know how tomorrow’s so called low could have beat this anyway.!
