  1. Unfortunately, the second will only deliver sleet / wet snow in our patch. It may turn back to snow after dark as the developing low pulls in lower temperatures, but it will be too wet by then.
  2. Reports in the south west thread that the back edge is turning to rain :-(
  3. How has this model been performing? To me it seems fairly consistent.
  4. It won't make it further west than Kent unfortunately, the strength and direction of the wind doesn't support it :-(
  5. I agree, but it's already fragmenting, so any significant falls are unlikely from it :-(
  6. I'm going to stick my neck out and say this will be a non event for most of our region. Yes, it will be cold, but not massively so, but the snow amounts are looking poor for anywhere inland...... as the models currently stand :-(
  7. How's the warm sector being modelled by the ECMWF? To me it looks like we may be in the game with those 850's!
  8. Not great for anywhere away from Kent though which probably explains the negativity!
  9. Until the warm sector moves through and it all turns to rain!
  10. I'm in west Berkshire tomorrow, almost 200m ASL. It could be an interesting drive home!
  11. I'm with Surrey on this one. I think a brief period of sleet around midday, then a return to snow as the colder air digs in once again :-)
  12. I'm with Surrey on this one. I think a brief period of sleet around midday, then a return to snow as the colder air digs in once again :-)
  13. Even if this second band does fall as snow, it's going to be very wet. I promised my little a nephew a snowman as I'm off work tomorrow, so that probably jinxed it lol
  14. It still looks as though the latest GFS is showing a snow to rain then back to snow event. As others have said, all very marginal in our neck of the woods. Time will tell. Fingers crossed for snow!
  15. I'm referring to tomorrow's snow event, not any potential later in the week :-)
  16. No, but you must admit, all the signals are against us. Better to be real and not let down I guess. Don't get me wrong, I love the snow, but the odds as it stands are stacked against us. I do hope things change for the better
  17. Unfortunately the warm sector in our region tomorrow has all but killed our snow chances. It will probably start as snow, turn to rain or sleet, then briefly back to snow as the warm sector moves away. I'm guessing this will just leave us with a slushy mess :-(
  18. I really do think the odds are against our area regarding tomorrow's snow event. It's going to be one of those days where we see snow reports on the news as the rain / sleet falls here :-(
  19. Only if that trough in the North Sea makes it over us. If not, I'm guessing it will be dry here with snow showers peppering the east coast.
