6cm snow here so far with more in mini drifts. There should be 10-15+ by the time the snow has left S.E Wales. Although it seems to be sticking to everything, garden plants are snapping under the weight of snow, god knows what might happen to power lines soon!

Awesome snow cover in Newport. Not as much drifting as expected but still plenty of time to go!

More precipitation forming behind the main band on the radar. Currently patchy but should form another smaller band and the join up to the front band..

It's awesome how quickly it goes from wet to snow covered once it reaches a tipping point, getting whiter by the minute in Newport

Yes. Everything was soaked in Newport after 2 hrs of heavy rain but after 40 mins of snow, cars are white and roads/pavements are light grey so it'll be the same for Cardiff

If it doesn't slow down or grow then it'll be out of S Wales in 4-6 hours, despite forecast showing heavy snow all day and night

I'm only about 2 miles from the coast in Newport so it won't be long before it snows in Cardiff

Me too! It sounds like its blowing a gale here (technically not gale force winds though haha), it'll be amazing if the heavy snow turns up.

Really gusty winds with the rain pelting my window. It'll be a complete whiteout in the valleys later..

Radar precipitation is getting intense in Ireland but has weakened over Cornwall from the red areas earlier! Surely there must be big changes still to come otherwise some people might be disappointed.

Radar is looking better and better as it gets closer. The red area of intensity seems further south than I thought, looking at the angle that it's travelling, it'll hit the far S Wales and Bristol..

Radar is looking more intense now thank god, a nice big orange blob heading right for S.E Wales if it goes to plan.

I love cold weather and snow but that band of precipitation needs to pull itself together before it gets to S Wales! Disappointing considering the alerts in place.
