  1. bluearmy looks borderline for many, which sometimes produce the big snow events I guess!!
  2. Battleground Snow nice, a more elongated low. I think the 12z’s will give us a better idea - and further shift north then I think it’s more likely the south should focus on day 9/10 onwards - shift south then things could really ramp up as a prolonged snow event could happen.
  3. sheikhy How does the Arpege match up against UKV and the other models? UKV and Arpege are very different at such short time frame !! At the minute we have ECM and Arpege vs UKV and GFS!!
  4. Nick F loving that update, this must be another headache for the METO
  5. northwestsnow high ground looks primed , uppers are cold enough that’s for sure - just need some moisture - and that massive low looks good for that!!
  6. That ECM T144 suggests somewhere will get nailed though, the 12z’s could be really good - and if they are I’d expect broad brush weather warnings to be issued for Thurs onwards!! Worst case it fails then long term looks good too. My fingers are crossed for widespread snow then a freeze up
  7. Decent fir many by 216 and signs of cold longevity too.
  8. Moving north by 174, snow showers following on !! It’s not really cold so unsure on parameters, away from coasts should do ok!
  9. Noticed the UKMO had the low further south too - so I imagine similar to the ECM for snow. Big upgrades for the midlands anyway By T156 the ECM is awesome - 3 days of snow pretty much
  10. That’ll do for us midlanders and some southerners , more to come too beyond 120
  11. CoventryWeather that’s a huge upgrade for cold further south - full support
  12. Not taking location literally but snow showers U.K. wide possible by 192 - it’s quite unstable looking cold so should have some snowy features
  13. northwestsnow indeed mate, very cold chart and likely leading to prolonged cold
  14. Snow by Saturday down to the M4 or even further south - noting the low has probably moved east though!! Either way, it’s a big move south and the snow chances remain strong fir many - then later in the month could be epic
  15. Those discounting Thursdays snow potential may go quiet. Decent move south with the colder uppers already digging south on Thursday
  16. Mid to long term longs very good, Thursday to Sunday looks good for some pretty good snowfalls - regardless of what people are saying the location of these snowfalls is yet to be decided. I can tell you now, if the Ops were showing snow for the south on todays runs for Thurs or Friday, people would be saying it’ll miss us and head into France (as it did a few weeks back) . So what is showing over Scotland today, for Thursday into the weekend should drop nicely south over the next few runs
  17. blizzard81 im not letting it go yet, still looks good to me heading into the weekend as the cold digs south. lots of potential here, much to be resolved
  18. Kasim Awan it’s not west based, it’s just forming in the Atlantic
