Big 12z’s these now heading to more reliable timeframes ref the initial plunge and blocking over Greenland - upgrades will be huge fir coldies to have a good week - downgrades , well let’s not think about that - I don’t think we’ll see much in that way anyway. Personally I just want a decent snowfall ️

Guess what was showing on the ECM 6z ️️️ That low was heading Into the U.K. into cold air - likely a big snow event again midlands south - this is T144 and it’s heading in

That’s an awesome update nearly full on support to stay cold - I expect stronger blocking in the 12z then - and still a good METO long range. If the block stays strong the low could still hit the U.K. then be moved away as the ridge opens back up behind it - hopecast but possible.

So the ECM and GEM ens show more chance of the low hitting the U.K. ???

Those thinking the breakdown will happen look at these ENS at T182 - most would prolong the cold spell way beyond the end of next week. Plenty more upgrades possible today I reckon

It’s all about the ENS now, can we start seeing more prolong the cold - and again have op as a less cold run at day 9 and beyond. I still think we can get far more out of this than the GFS op is showing.

The snow chance mid next week seems to be falling away, it’ll be interesting to hear the METOs though on this - I guess the 12zs will Clear it up though.
