Everything posted by I remember Atlantic 252

  1. bit like when a northerly breaks down with a whimper for the south
  2. well, Wednesday looks absolutely vile here, showers streaming in from Cheshire Gap, cold wind with temps only 15°., luckily 1 day only and better by friday
  3. another plume coming, again timed for Mon to Wed period, just like the last 2, like northerlies normally arrive fri to Sun
  4. going to be miles worse tomorrow to thursday, real nip to the wind I think coming up, before Summer arrives again on 12th
  5. sort of looking charts we'll be seeing in January! westerly gales, 10° higher tomorrow of course
  6. yes, ideal summer day, still autumn like synoptics though, gales for our locations tomorrow, but summer temp wise, we'll get around 21° tomorrow, and no rain I hope
  7. yes, and mine, want every day in summer like this! similar day to 23 July here mmm wonder where knock is? awol maybe because last few FI's shown dry sunny and warm, and not low pressure, wind and rain
  8. same as above chart? dosen't look too nice here 18C, wind off the north sea, long way off yet though
  9. isn't here WH, would say average Aug temps though, but slate grey
  10. you probably having best weather in UK off that chart, 22C sunnyish I'd say
  11. yes, see what you mean, looking at that, it looks like a 'Dec' chart, strong westerly, not saying it will feel like Dec though 12°C, still expect average temps for Aug, 22° in south 17 maybe in north
  12. I'd be opposite Nick to Madden! my thoughts would be 'flooding misery to strike Britain' 'Warmest winter ever due' 'coolest dullest summer due' 'winter to be dominated by gale damage' (cos I am the Atlantic air believer)
  13. esp, April/ May, they sunniest months of year in northern areas aren't they? where as yes agree about Jul and Aug for South
  14. dreading it, yes records to be broken, post 2000, it's always the ones the majority me included don't want to see, most likely at least some sort of warm temp record broken Dec to Feb and feels likely a lot of minimums Dec to Feb will be warmer than the minimums next week
  15. not here, just for the S/SE, struggle with cloud here from westerlies
  16. turned more Atlantic dominated, 5th place behind, Nov, Dec, Jan and Feb
  17. autumnal synoptics definitely, last few days and over next week, but still feels mild, which is good, I want it mild now, August does tend to produce autumnal synoptics, but still feels more like summer
  18. yes, I can see that happening, slow downgrading of the high pressure, models do underestimate the Atlantic, expect us to be grey at 19C, where as SE gets blue skies at 27°
  19. cheese gets upset about posts on here, his problem! never worry he'll grow out of it I hope, no surprise though about models downgrading though, ECM in particular seems to often underestimate low pressure and the Atlantic, go with GFS here, even that I think showing weekend 'too nice' to be true, underestimating the Atlantic
  20. I'll settle for those temps! wish it could be that warm in crappy area I live, too exposed to the NW
  21. well I'm only around 14 miles south and moderate here last hour
  22. for me, 12C feels way warmer in Jan than it would in July! probably due to warm wind Jan, cold wind July with same temp
  23. Sat 6th, coming up on a few models as hot, 15C uppers, models underdo max temps, who knows 1 decent day away from the SE this year
