  1. yes, see what you mean, looking at that, it looks like a 'Dec' chart, strong westerly, not saying it will feel like Dec though 12°C, still expect average temps for Aug, 22° in south 17 maybe in north
  2. I'd be opposite Nick to Madden! my thoughts would be 'flooding misery to strike Britain' 'Warmest winter ever due' 'coolest dullest summer due' 'winter to be dominated by gale damage' (cos I am the Atlantic air believer)
  3. esp, April/ May, they sunniest months of year in northern areas aren't they? where as yes agree about Jul and Aug for South
  4. dreading it, yes records to be broken, post 2000, it's always the ones the majority me included don't want to see, most likely at least some sort of warm temp record broken Dec to Feb and feels likely a lot of minimums Dec to Feb will be warmer than the minimums next week
  5. not here, just for the S/SE, struggle with cloud here from westerlies
  6. turned more Atlantic dominated, 5th place behind, Nov, Dec, Jan and Feb
  7. autumnal synoptics definitely, last few days and over next week, but still feels mild, which is good, I want it mild now, August does tend to produce autumnal synoptics, but still feels more like summer
  8. yes, I can see that happening, slow downgrading of the high pressure, models do underestimate the Atlantic, expect us to be grey at 19C, where as SE gets blue skies at 27°
  9. cheese gets upset about posts on here, his problem! never worry he'll grow out of it I hope, no surprise though about models downgrading though, ECM in particular seems to often underestimate low pressure and the Atlantic, go with GFS here, even that I think showing weekend 'too nice' to be true, underestimating the Atlantic
  10. I'll settle for those temps! wish it could be that warm in crappy area I live, too exposed to the NW
  11. well I'm only around 14 miles south and moderate here last hour
  12. for me, 12C feels way warmer in Jan than it would in July! probably due to warm wind Jan, cold wind July with same temp
  13. Sat 6th, coming up on a few models as hot, 15C uppers, models underdo max temps, who knows 1 decent day away from the SE this year
  14. yes we are west, could clearly see an east/west split over me yesterday, unsettled west clear sunny east
  15. disagree about roll on winter, just 10C and gales for 3 months here, but your posts will cheer thread up! after all you only post what models are showing,
  16. good posts in MOD Frosty, hope GEM comes off, can only post what models are showing,
  17. I don't mind sunny and hot now, getting okay with it, also I find pollen allergies much better when hot, way worse when cool dewy or raining, favourite summer weather though light winds, 23-25°, and sunny
  18. August the month that's changed the most, (apart from Dec to Feb of course) me the Atlantic air believer many would say, but August has too much Atlantic air, last Aug hot spell at least here was in '03, around 3 years after the change
  19. I can't unless window shut, rain makes pollen allergy way worse, I'm fine when it's dry and hot, but sadly those days becoming rare
  20. getting like winter now, high pressure near the UK is becoming non existant, just got to make most of dry spells between systems, one timed for tomorrow and Sunday, and will feel like summer if the sun's out at 20°
  21. Monday 1st certainly looks an absolute washout for Midlands, timed for day again, not the night
  22. 15.7C, contender for one of wettest ever, full blown Atlantic air, 1st looks shockingly wet
  23. I'm hoping for the opposite! warm Sept, 25C, and dry, dry warm Oct, dry Nov, but as we all know it won't happen as high pressure becoming less frequent as years go on
  24. I don't, dry is my favourite Autumn setup WTF! favourite red lined?
