Everything posted by I remember Atlantic 252

  1. yes the Wimbledon final very hot day, as was during Wimbledon and just after
  2. Nov '96, which was the start to a great winter very snowy spell, 19th was amazing, Stafford must have been in 'sweet spot' for a low lying area anyway
  3. yes, it does tend to be the warmest month, although lacking hot spells since '03, Sept normally 2nd warmest
  4. yes, certainly remember Wimbledon final, Murray's win very hot
  5. Yes Frosty, Carol at Wimbledon said mid to high 20's for finals weekend,
  6. Summer in the UK takes the jaffa cakes! wet for my location with showers streaming from Cheshire Gap, feeling cold with wind and rain
  7. usually means rain on the way, must have this time, wet now
  8. I know you were, I am a firm believer, nobody knows what's causing it, but low pressure has become more frequent, as has Atlantic air/stronger jet, high pressure less frequent in winters since approx 2000
  9. like setup you'd see in Dec, strong jet stream, westerlies and low pressure
  10. dosen't sound too bad, could be less with troughs and NW winds
  11. contender for one of the wettest ever, low pressure dominated start to finish, 15.3C
  12. covers on, been a few runs now suggesting a wet day at Wimbledon 1st Tuesday
  13. yes and that will feel cold, if windy and cloudy at Wimbledon, would feel warmer in Dec at 15C, least the wind'll be warm
  14. yeah sadly Frosty, sure signs of the m/e, love your positive posts all year round though Frosty in MOD
  15. you got that from LW252!? obviously fully agree, especially winter, but didn't you used to disagree with me?
  16. Still wondering if our summers have changed? like our winters have, but not so convinced about summers, no real hot spell in Aug since '03, too early to tell, maybe but who knows, are we now in the modern summer, low pressure all the time
