  1. kicking off just east of here, can see the anvil, but no lightning
  2. yes, certainly looking/feeling thundery out there! hazy skies, humid and altocumulus castellanus type stuff
  3. yes ideal summer weather, not painfully hot, (don't like it too hot) last day really tomorrow before cooler winds arrive Thursday just looking at this, looks more like Nov to Feb to me, not saying it will feel like it but looks ugly
  4. we seem too far north and west, huge storms on raintoday but not in this area
  5. Wimbledon in sunshine then! usually the hottest days are during Wimbledon, 30th June and 01 July last year, 01 Jul was Wimbledon's hottest day, in a fairly ordinary summer
  6. Anvils most of the evening to my extreme NW, wondering if any storms in this region?
  7. 5 days on the trot without rain here, great effort for Stafford, super dupertest place in country for weather
  8. slate grey again, Stafford and the north sea mist, only 7.21 am though
  9. ay but quoted member wants 40°C! but yes I prefer 22-25 C in summer, nothing lower or higher
  10. split over here again, unsettled skies to the east, sunny skies to the west
  11. no surprise there, as Dec would be SW warm wind, June usually NE cool wind, typical post from me, but is true Dec is dominated by warm winds from S SW or W
  12. still same split, looks yucky looking Rugeley way, looks summery looking to the NW, here already worse than sunny town centre, town 2.8 miles to my NW
  13. SE/NW split over me, horrid looking SE, blue skies looking NW, inbetween here cold wind, sun in and out
  14. 14.6C, warm start, rest of month unsettled, low pressure to dominate, but not Dec/Jan style, instead slow moving troughs/lows
  15. yes, it stayed East, Paris had it, first washout there during French open since 2000, heading our way though
  16. just think if it was Dec to Jan, the blocking would be over Spain eastwards
  17. somehow think more than north sea misty low cloud! heavy rain 7am to 6pm
  18. yes, been following washout Whit monday since last Sunday, shown since then, and hardly changed, will be a washout, timed right for the day, bbc not on board yet but will be soon
  19. typical temp for Dec Jan, infact slightly below the modern Jan temps
  20. just looking roughly at that SS, if correct to me seems we're in for a rotten summer
  21. can see the anvils to my East, wall of them across the east of Stafford, seem to be moving South
  22. ECM suggests good start for Whit week! but bound to be gone in morning
