  1. another dusting overnight, thawing fast now as expected with milder uppers moving down from the north
  2. yeah clearly shown on meteociel, for my location, and looking at that precip chart earlier, snow followed by rain for west, all snow for shaky and crew
  3. weak easterly still being modelled for thurs, could well bring snow in off the north sea, ideally though need the setup further north
  4. GFS still modelling mon/tues as dry as a bone, surely not, kinks in flow, on meteociel even a small low 7am tues
  5. very light flurry, just a sugar dusting on cars, ground is wet
  6. also interesting tomorrow night, seems to just develop
  7. sleet for me tonight, rain tomorrow, heavy snow tuesday forecast by bbc
  8. temp up and down the problem, now -1.1C with clear skies, light shower earlier temp before cloud moved in -0.7C, shot up to 1.6C in a flash
  9. not surprised, milder uppers in Scotland, working their way down here
  10. Rain Rain Rain! uppers not cold enough, run the GFS through on meteociel, cold uppers arrive around 6 pm tomorrow
  11. bbc on board with Monday nights trough! gives me snow all monday night, and Tues am, long way out but Fergie even mentioning it! although not for north and east midlands
  12. As expected milder today, normal January day really, early snow long thawed, hope the cold from Sunday produces some snow, more than just a dusting

  16. elevation the key, when no beast from the east, I have had brief coverings, but too warm to settle properly
  17. light steety snow here, temp was 0.1C at 5.30pm, slowly risen through the evening to 0.7C, my snow thawed
  18. yeah, temps on rise, hope the damn thing misses, but no it will be a direct hit, when it's rain, sweet spot SE Stafford, when its snow, a total miss
  19. steadily rising here as well, forecast is for much milder air tomorrow and Saturday, before the real cold plunge behind Saturday's rain
  20. yeah, but reports on here seem to suggest it may miss us to the NE
